Great location near Little Venice. Free parking in surrounding streets. Bar was very average. Comfortable bed & pillows. Beautifully designed. Helpful staff & very friendly check in process. Attic room has steep stairs, but wonderful views over the rooftop & a great desk/working area.
Perfectly located hotel, cant stress this more, the location is magnificent. The room was bigger than I anticipated being as in these small towns and boutique hotels the rooms tend to nbe tiny, not the case at Le Colombier. Very much liked the detail of the small coffee machine in my room. The breakfast could do with a bit more choice and selection, otherwise, cant fault this cozy and charming hotel.
Excellent hotel right at the entrance to Colmar's old town. We splurged on a "deluxe suite" and it was well worth the extra cost. The room was enormous and tastefully furnished in a modern style. We did not try the breakfast, but there are plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. One thing to note, you can park overnight on the street in front of the hotel if you can find a space, but you need to move it by morning. Most of the time, we wound up parking about 4-5 blocks away in a residential neighborhood. Highly recommended!
Wonderful location in Colmar. We stayed 2 nights in the newly renovated rooms across the street. So newly renovated, that the room still had a heavy new paint smell. We got used to it quickly though. The room was spotless. Comfortable bed and enough space for a short visit. Breakfast is not included and we didn't try it. Staff were professional and friendly. We were happy with our stay here, and really enjoyed our time in Colmar.
My husband is on wheeled chair, and we booked online a room and made a request for accessible one. However, the hotel asked us to pay more to get accessible room. Which is not our problem to pay for a deluxe room and the hotel is listed as accessible and nothing is mentioned online on that
Rating 4,5 Perfectly located hotel, next to the petit Venice. Parking lots available. Spacious room with coffee machine and nice bathroom. Nice staff, also speaks english and german. small sauna is available. The breakfast did not comply with a 4 * hotel, too little choice, a bit careless :( But almost perfect
In the Petite Venise section of town this hotel is well located and newly renovated : our room 204 was big with a very very comfortable king bed and divine clean pressed linens. Foam-chip pillows were firm. (We did not inquire if others were available) The maids here are on target: the separated toilet closet and double sinks-shower room are very clean, with towels robes slippers lucite glasses and toiletries replaced when needed. The Hardwood clean floor was and is for us preferable to carpeting. The room is furnished with individual night tables desk and two big arm chairs with dior grey painted walls and well-done painting lights. - an excellent room for us although because it is a few steps up from the hallway it may not be okay for those with knee or hip problems. Usual amenities Safe Stocked Frig and Nespresso machine with clean glass cups are provided.
This hotel is in the Petite Venise area of Colmar. We were greeted cheerily by the staff at the reception desk, who offered to hold our luggage until our room was ready while we went out sightseeing. The hotel is segmented in different buildings, but this isn't really an issue. Our room was up a few flights of stairs and then up another flight once inside the room (like a loft) and probably not suited to the elderly or mobility challenged. The room was beautifully decorated, very modern and we appreciated the walk-in shower, which was huge by European standards. Breakfast was excellent and unlike most in European hotels, worth the price charged. The woman running the dining area is exceptionally cheery and helpful, and moves through the dining room at a whirlwind pace clearing tables, refreshing food, etc. Check out was equally pleasant and capped an overall pleasant stay.
We spent 2 nights here and were told on checking in that we'd been upgraded to a newly-renovated room (001), which was modern & spacious. The hotel is in the heart of the Petit Venice area, only a few steps away from one of the prettiest canals. We were advised to park our rental car in the next street, where there was no charge, which we appreciated. Breakfast was not included, but we prefer to find little places to eat whilst exploring town, so this wasn't an issue for us (besides, there's a wonderful little patisserie diagonally across the road). The staff were very friendly and helpful and they're happy to help with restaurant recommendations & reservations (there are lots to choose from). Our only complaints were that our ground floor room opened onto the courtyard, so we had to keep our curtains closed for privacy and the background music playing in the courtyard was very audible in our room (but the staff happily turned the volume down for us). If ever we go back to Colmar, we'd definitely stay in Hotel le Colombier again.
Very sweet hotel on the canals, in the heart of the old town, a beautiful architecture, well renovated with spacious bathrooms and a small waterfall in the courtyard. The stone stairway is amazing for pictures as well as the giant shoe in the entrance.
