This hotel hasn't had any remodeling or repair for quite some time. There is no energy in these walls..old, dark, unmotivated staff, overall cold feeling. Strange. Room was clean enough for one night. Carpet was very worn and stained. There was a plug in airwick air freshener in the wall....???? Breakfast was not hot or abundant. I had cheerios. We were anxious to leave.

We stayed here for one night while in town for a family event. The hotel is clean and has a nice reception area/front desk and our room was spacious and mostly comfortable. However, we had a couple of small issues that were irksome. We didn't get into town until kind of late (around 8 pm) and right after we checked in we went out in search of food. When we got back to the room it was chilly - not freezing, temps outside were in the 40s, but still chilly for us Texans. We turned on the heater and it blew cold air. We tried turning it off and then back on, still cold air. By this point is almost 11 pm so we call the front desk to report it. A friendly gentleman came up and basically did all the things we did and it still wasn't working. He went to get his manager. A few minutes later he called us and offered to move us to another room. We didn't want to bother at this point so just asked for extra blankets (there were none in the closet in the room). Those were brought up no problem. In the morning we called the desk to ask for a late check out because our event wasn't until 1:00 pm and we didn't really have anything to do until then. We were told the latest they could give us was noon. Problem with this is their in room literature listed noon as the checkout time. Noticed a sticker on the door of the room that had 11:00, which had apparently been placed over the old check out time of noon. Not a huge deal but we were doing by what their book in the room said. Finally, upon getting ready for our event we realized we'd forgotten to bring a hairbrush. Husband went down to the front desk to see if they had any combs. They didn't, so he had to run to the store to buy a hairbrush. Sign in the bathroom is posted with this review. Pretty sure a comb is a basic item. All in all just a little disappointed with this place. I'm not knocking them too bad, but for over $100 per night I would have hoped for a little more in the way of amenities and working equipment in the room.

We enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were super clean and staff was friendly. Good eating places nearby and an easy walk. Texas waffles were good. Small kitchen area was a helpful to have to keep drinks cold. Very quiet!

We were able to get a room to go to the Aggie football game. Best front desk service we have had in a long time. Michael checked us in. He was friendly and helpful. It was nice to have cookies and drinks in the lobby. The room was very clean. The room is spacious with a sitting area separate from the sleeping area with a mini fridge and microwave. Nice large bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and we all had a great night sleep. We had a great trip!

We stayed here while attending a football game and met with family after. Upon arriving I could tell it was an older hotel. It definitely could use some upkeep. The guy checking in was very nice though and made sure we could get a room close to family. Room was clean enough, although I was concerned about the bedding they brought to us. We were in a hurry and really needed to just shower, change and go so when they brought sheets for the pull out sofa, I did not check what was brought. However once we got back I noticed they brought a top sheet and not a fitted sheet and the blanket we were to use was in the closet. Had it been cleaned since the last person used it..I'm not sure but I was too tired to make a thing out of it. Even if it had been cleaned, you wouldn't know. It would make sense to just bring a fresh blanket. Our bathroom had long black hairs on the floor. My family didn't have anyone with long dark hair. I do appreciate that he was trying to get our families close together and we were a bit early for check in so the room may not have been completely finished yet. But I appreciate the effort to get us in. There was not alot of noise from the hall or above which was nice. The ac worked well and the room was non smoking. Breakfast was okay. Very greasy sausage and hashbrowns and only one waffle maker which made for a pretty long wait for a weekend stay. I will say there were lots of options. Even boiled eggs which my picky eater loves! Yogurt, cereal, waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy..milk,juice,and water. For the price this was a good stay. We weren't at the hotel long enough for some of these things to be too big of a bother. I'm not sure we'd stay again as there are tons of hotels in this area. But it worked for our quick weekend.

We stayed here 2 nights while doing a college visit. It was clean, comfortable, and close to a Target, Walgreens, and several places to eat. The wi-fi is free and didn't give us any trouble. I would definitely stay here again.

This is my preferred place to stay in College Station - just a few minutes to TAMU and close to shops and restaurants. A little hard to find the first time, they could improve their signage. Always clean, rooms are spacious, front desk is friendly and efficient. Kinda hard to expect more at this price. Ill be back :0)

This was our second stay at the Comfort Suites on Texas Avenue. Our first time in College Station, we drove back and forth on Texas Avenue (with Garmin assist no less) searching for this hotel. The Comfort Suites is not visible from the street. There is no Comfort Suites sign on the side of the road. Here's the secret - look for a 'Discount Tires' sign on the north side of Texas Avenue. Turn when you see this sign and you will be looking at the Comfort Suites set way back from the road. Comfort Suites is a bit of an older hotel, but in very good condition. Yes, there is still construction going on behind it, but our room was facing the front so it didn't affect us. We did not partake of their complimentary breakfast because we felt like going to the Mickey D's close by. Our room was on the third floor facing Texas Avenue. It was roomy and in good condition/clean, with a fridge, microwave, coffee/tea supplies and lots of outlets for charging all of the necessary phones, tablets, etc. It also had a couch/desk area with a half wall that separates it from the bed/TV area. The bathroom was the typical hotel bathroom - it had all the necessary parts. This is our hotel of choice when visiting our grad student son. It is close to a Target, Kroger, CVS, Walgreens, Firestone, and various restaurants. Most of all, it's close to where our son lives. There are plenty of other hotels heading more westbound on Texas Avenue. Try to stay close to what brings you to College Station.

behind the hotel construction was going on, and it seemed like it wasn't the best part of town. But this hotel was great! quiet, comfortable, and nice. The staff was very friendly. There is nothing I could complain about.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and quiet as recommended by the front desk receptionist. Breakfast was good. Location is not too far from the university and all other amenities.
