Stayed two nights, big ant problem in bathroom. Aparently they like liquid vitamin D.... Very tiny ants all over sink. Solved problem somewhat by sealing in Baggie. Mouse droppings on window ledge and never got room temperature down to comfortable. Bar service great, food ok. Dinner two nights in town excellent. Service in hotel good, but not Wyndham good. Prices very fair. I'll go back.
This is supposedly one of the best hotels in Colima, I can just imagine how the others are! The corridors that lead you to the rooms have no air conditioning. One had towels in the floor!! I got to my room that was two or three star ok. The bathroom needs urgent refurbishment. But when I looked at the window, the inside frame was FULL of dead red insects, by full I mean 70. This was disgusting how can they not notice this when they clean? I requested a change of room which was granted with no further apology or compensation. Do not stay here!!!! Attach see the picture of the window ( just one part of it).
We live in Manzanillo, Colima and love to head up to the City of Colima for some shopping, golf and good food. We usually stay at the Wyndham because we know it is always clean and the beds are comfortable. It also has easy access to the many places we like to go to. The restaurant in the hotel is great, especially the buffet in the morning. We are always greeted by friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend the Wyndham when in Colima.
This was my first stay at a Wyndham Garden hotel. My wife and I stayed three nights. The location was extremely convenient. The staff is very helpful. The prices are reasonable. Nice pool. Great gym with things that actually work, including a steam room. Spacious bedrooms, nicely appointed, comfy bed (we had a king), covered, off-street parking with security. Highly recommended all around.
Colima has a connectivity problem. Parts of the city, you have no signal. That's why it's so important where you stay: it can become your connection to the world. Wyndham is the only hotel I've stayed at that NEVER has an Internet problem. For that sole reason, it's the best. Now: the beds are amazing. You'll get a very good nights sleep. It has a very decent gym (with treadmills and bikes). It has a pool. And a communal "jacuzzi". (Not my thing but tubs are a dying thing in Mexico.) The coffee is good. Order it when you wake up. The pineapple is always, always delicious. The rest of the food in the restaurant: it's okay. Everything in Colima is 10 minutes away, so it does not matter that this hotel is not downtown. Cabs are cheap, though not so easy to come by in the street. For women traveling alone, I'd suggest having the phone number for a cab company to move around (the hotel will happily provide it).
Liked the feel of Colima. The people were friendly and the town was generally well kept. The hotel was pretty basic. No carpet but some throw rugs. No real character to the room. Breakfast was fine but the omelet chef was late each morning by 15 to 30 minutes.
Clean,Lux.next to The mall and fine dinig.everyone very helpfull, great placer to be.will be there every chance I get.great for The family to.last year took The kids and had no complaints and if that hapends than it was a good trip.
This hotel has a nice location, in the new development of the city, near to Zentralia Shopping Mall, at the entrance of the highway from Guadalajara, the service of the hotal is not so good, we reserve two rooms, and they give us one room in the lobby floor and the another was in the four floor, we asked for a rooms in the same floor because the reservation was made almost a month before, and they said that if we wait a while, the give us the two rooms in the same floor, but they didn´t, so we stayed in different floors, this hotel is very noisy, you can hear the restrooms from all other rooms in the floor, and the convesations of the others guests. The room ammenities are very cheap, and if you use the parking lot at night, they don´t have a light in the stairs, so you can fall of them. Conclusion, is hotel with a high fares and very poor services.
Generally Wyndam's are a great choice and this hotel property did not disappoint us, but the Hotel was exceptionally clean and for the remote location (176nm insland from Mazaltan) and named for its Valcano, we found our stay exceptional and way above what was expected. No need for transportation as the Hotel will pick up at the Airport and there is a very nice Mall within walking distance. I would stay at this Hotel again without hesitation.
Its a simple hotel with a nice pool and nice rooms.I reserved three room for my family . We just stayed for one day and I think thats enough to visited all of Colima .It was very close to the town and the places we went to visited. Like Comala, La Campana etc.
