The hotel was more than we expected. It was well designed, Rooms were a good size and very clean. The water pressure in the shower was incredible. Stay included an amazing full breakfast buffet. Their pool was very well designed. Hotel was close to everything. The staff was friendly and courteous.

I live in Mexico and have traveled through it for more than fifty years. This is one of the best non-resort hotels that I have stayed at because it has ALL of the things that I want: Not too far from a major freeway Good quality rooms Good, free in-room wifi Friendly staff Room safes (very important to me) Easy parking with excellent auto security Firm beds that don't wreck my back Good neighborhood for walking with outdoor running track within one block On-site restaurant with very good breakfast buffet It also has two good-sized swimming pools and a nice surrounding pool area. I have not seen the fitness center, so I can't comment. In summary, this is a comfortable, secure place that is very user friendly. If you are driving a car, it is much easier than negotiating the downtown hotels. I speak Spanish to the staff, so I'm not sure of their strength in English. My experience has been so perfect here that I would personally never take the chance on another hotel in Colima.
This hotel was recommended by some family. We went there to spend two nights and three days in Colima. We went with a big family group. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and clean but with few amenities (no hair dryer, coffee maker, safe etc). The pool area is great with families. We were travelling with 5 kids and they had a blast in the pool; although it is not heated and feels cold but Colima does get very hot during the day so not a huge problem. Overall, I would consider staying here again. Not fancy but was decent value for money.
The hotel has an impressive lobby, but the way the rooms are surrounded but the parking lot gives you a Motel 6 feel. Our rooms were comfortable and a good size. The AC worked well and we felt safe parking our car, since it was right next to our room. The pool area and the trampoline were the highlight of the hotel for our kids. It had 3 to 4 distinct pools with slides and waterfalls. That being said there were a lot of kids in the pool, and it was even booked for local family's birthday parties. I saw some questionable matter floating in the pool that lessened my enjoyment, but we notified staff and it was taken care of quickly. We only stayed here one night before we flew back to the States. The airport is pretty close, so it worked for our needs. The hotel was under construction on the far side, but it did not effect our stay. We would return if in Colima.
the hotels main attraction is the pool, which is more of an entertainment center than just a pool. The hotel itself is older but clean. The restaurant is to be avoided if at all possible. The location is urban with an easy access to the highway to Guadalajara and about 2 miles to the highway to Manzanillo.
The hotel is very clean. My room was very spacious and the wifi worked perfect. I used the gym which is not exclusive to the hotel and it was nice. But the beds are terrible so hard that I couldn't sleep well. Also the A/C only refreshes the room but it does not really get it cold Wouldn't staybagain The check out process took me more than 15 minutes
This review is not to focus on the good or bad. Just what to expect when you get a room here. I'm sure rooms are different. My wife and I stayed in a one bedroom, one bed room. Entrance - The hotel has a guard and a life gate. Felt good to leave our car there with no problems. Lobby - Lobby was very pretty, loved the dome and decor. We mention (in Spanish) that we had a room reservation. The receptionist was young and looked confused. Maybe she was new? We had to ask what she needed to look up the room. Another man came, was much friendly and took our room with no problems. We started a tab with our credit card to enjoy room service in case we got home late. They serve dinner until 11pm. Sleep - The bed is quite firm. I read this in another review on Expedia.com and the reviewer commented it was still a nice night. I have to agree. My wife both thought the beds were firm but we slept very well. Sheets seemed very clean and maintained. Shower - You can expect either a warm or cold shower. Don't guarantee yourself a hot shower if you are used to it. TV - Lots of channels, figure 2 in English, the rest are in Spanish. Dining - We didn't drive around but we did try the sushi place nearby. Well presented food, we tried tempura vegetables and fried rice which were very good. Not impressed with the other 2 items we tried. We also tried room service food from the local restaurant. The coffee was great. Food was descent. Extras - Nothing really in the room besides a/c and tv. You have to request an iron. No coffee maker in the room. Pool - We didn't have time to swim but the pool was warm, very large and looked fun, this is a well known hotel by the locals and nearby cities. They have a bar by the pool, maybe open on the weekends or in season. We didn't see it open. Wireless Internet - We had no service on our phones from MetroPCS but the Wi-fi worked fine for our needs. Password is in the key holder and easy to enter. A/C - obviously the temperature is in Celsius. The room wont get cold, but it will allow you to sleep. We set ours to around 24 C. Noise - Can get very noisy from the local traffic and taxis etc honking their horns by 6-6:30am. Also the car alarms out front and people walking to their rooms are easily heard in the room.
The hotel is a convenient location if you are doing something at the University of Colima. It is an easy walk to the campus. The area seemed safe, although I did not walk around at night. The hotel has a mixed feeling. The positives: -Lobby; high ceilings, nice chandelier -Staff; friendly and helpful -Gym; it's not part of the hotel but they give you a pass. Very well equipped and used by locals with lots of $$ -Swimming pools The negatives: -Breakfast; if you pay for it you get a buffet at a restaurant. The worst food I've had in all my visits to Mexico. You are better off getting it elsewhere on your own. -Rooms; very, very basic. Expect lower-end motel quality. No closet, very spartan. The bed was hard but somewhat comfortable. The lights in the hallways are strong and the curtains so thin that your room may be quite bright at night. They did provide a bottle of water everyday, which was nice and necessary. The rooms and the hotel were very clean. The wifi connection was very flimsy in my room, but I spoke with other guests who said it worked well in their rooms.
We stayed here two nights while visiting friends. We were able to get two rooms next to each other as requested. The staff was great. When I asked for a hair dryer and iron they appeared within minutes. The cleaning people were prompt and friendly. The beds were quite hard but this seems to be the case in many Mexican hotels so it didn't bother us that much. The pool is great and the pool attendant was friendly and available for towels. The rooms were not huge but were big enough to not be stepping on each other or our things. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because we were disappointed with the restaurant named the Guacamayo. The service was incredibly slow and our steaks were undercooked.
