Fiesta inn in Colima is very conveniently located to move around the city on car. For walking and tourism there are very good hotel at the center. Although it is a 6 year old hotel, inside the rooms, it looks older. Rooms are spacious. Gym is very basic. Food is ok for a business trip. Staff is very helpfull as allways in a Fiesta Hotel. When you get a good rate, it is a great place to stay.
Service was excellent. All the staff was friendly and efficient. Staff were able to communicate with me very well even though I do not speak very much Spanish. The accommodations were excellent. Everything was very clean and comfortable.
Kind of new hotel, good service, and good food. Despite the fact that the beds are rather small and rooms, it is good and very close to the city if the travel is with business purposes. Also it has kids area and pool which makes it also attractive for families.
Its a great hotel and the service is excellent, specially Mrs. Claudia, the general manager who always receives you with a smile and calls you by your name. The service is excellent and the rooms are clean and almost new.
There's supposedly a free breakfast, but the restaurant staff lost the receipt that I signed and came to my room to hassle me over it. I had to throw 200 pesos at them and tell them to leave me alone. The front desk also called me a "taxi" that couldn't give me a receipt.
Small rooms, holes in sheets, old bath towels they are desintegrating, small beds, not the quality of this type of hotels and prices as if it were a fiesta americana grand..... better think it twice to stay
Outstanding hotel and reasonable price. The restaurant had very good food. The service staff was very cordial. The only thing I did not like was that the parking spaces were too narrow even for small cars.
When ever I travel in Mexico I usually stay at Fiesta Inn hotels, they have very standardized rooms, and facilities, this is the case for the Colima Fiesta Inn. It's facilities are clean and serviceable, rooms are large, with flat TV and the bathroom is good. In this case I had a problem because the shower water was escaping under the door and flooding the rest of the bathroom, it was not too bad but trying to enter after taking a shower would soak my feet. The other thing is that the walls let trough sound from the adjacent rooms and I could hear almost everything that was going in the other room. I could still get a good night rest and would definitely stay there again.
This is a fine hotel for business travel, with beds that are quite comfortable and rooms that are reasonably spacious -- but less so if you are traveling in 'family mode' for vacationing as it can feel a bit cramped and there is limited closet and drawer space for clothes. Also, there is no in-room security box so you have to deal with asking for a box at the front desk. There is a gym with a couple treadmills, couple of stationary bikes and a small 'universa' machine -- and nothing else, so yes, it's quite small but functional in a very basic sence (again: ok for the business traveler). On the plus side, the breakfast buffet was veeery good for both a Mexican and American taste and the waffles are awesome! Overall a pleasant stay (staff is very kind and courteous) even for a family stay -- however when my 9 year old saw the approx 10x10 ft pool she did say: Esto es una burla! (This is a joke!) We did check out the Hotel Mission on our way out of town and while the rooms seem similar in size and the beds equally comfortable (we were told the double bed rooms are half way through the process of renewing the beds for more comfortable ones) they don't have a gym, no in-room security boxes and didn't appear to have lounge chairs around the decent sized pool). Alas, we would probably be fine returning to the Fiesta Inn but the kids would probably vote for the large pool at Mision. Hope this helps!
I have stayed at Fiesta Inn multiple times and like the location since it is close to downtown and the airport. The restaurant has good food and they have a small lounge / bar area. The beds in the rooms are comfortable and the room has all of the normal amenities. There is a pool and a gym that are available for all of the hotel guests. If you are coming to Colima I recommend staying here.
