Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Typically I believe stopping for a room in Coleville would be just passing through type of stop as there are only a few accommodations in this small town. I had no idea when I made the reservation that this was a KOA. Motel room was very small but clean, but room had a terrible mildew smell.
A lot of hassle to go through. Received a lot of comms before arriving. They even let you fill another paperwork before arriving and it is compulsory. Had to leave the car at the entrance before check in. Staff are less than friendly. Charge extra for the 3rd guest. No check-in after 8pm. No complaints about the house though.
We were really surprised at how much we loved this property and will definitely stay here again. We had a room up at the top so we really got to enjoy sitting outside and watching the sun go down behind the cliff. The room was very clean, bed was very comfortable and it was nice and quiet. Check in is not like a regular hotel but the host kept in touch with us on when we were coming in and was there to get us checked in very quickly. Highly recommend!
We stayed in a lodge room. The most comfortable BED ever !!! We ordered the pizza and they brought it to our room
Wonderful hosts !!

Not sure why this property gets such high marks. As an RV resort it’s probably ok however I was on a motorcycle. This place has gravel roads making movement on my bike somewhat dangerous. Didn’t like this at all. Another big issue is there’s no dining option near the resort. Closest is 11 miles to a restaurant that is nothing but a greasy mess. The next option is 30 miles. Unacceptable. I booked near the pool which was a major mistake kids screaming making a quiet experience nonexistent. I paid for 2 nights stayed one. I expressed my concerns to the staff but no one night refund was offered. I’m out
Simple, quiet place to stay in Coleville with a rockin pool. This part of California is beautiful and quiet- and close enough to Carson City/Reno to drive for amenities.
Great resting place on big drive through Monitor Pass towards Yosemite. Lovely setting and facilities, and good bang for the buck.

ADA room on top row.
The "employees" were all friendly. We got an ADA room & the bathroom was for the most part very accessible. The hand held shower was hard to reach but the tub/shower had lots of bars & a bench. A shelf in the bathroom to put a few personal items on would be an improvement.
The bed was one of the best we have found in our travels.
The only real problem was the chairs. They were very wobbly & moved in all of the joints, especially the arms & seat. We ended up bringing in the patio chairs because they just did not feel safe. When we left i tried to tell the man who I think was an owner about it & was told he was too busy. I tried to mention the wobbly chairs & was told he cant replace any or make any changes to the unit or he would have to reapply to have the room ADA compliment. I am astounded that wobbly, unsafe chairs cant be replaced or at least repaired.
The rock cliff was amasing.
I might consider staying here again, the scenery was lovely & the bed was the best. Most of the people we interacted with were great. Just one was less so.
