Tuscan-Umbrian retreat at Podere Umbro

A restored mid 19th century Farmhouse set on an olive grove of over 600 olive trees between Tuscany and Umbria, in one of the most stunning regions of Italy. The farmhouse contains 4 individual apartments, fully equipped for a self catering vacation. 17 acres of land and views of the Umbrian countryside as far as the eye can see. 1 mile from the medieval beautiful town of Citta Della Pieve it s the perfect location to enjoy the surrounding area and nearby cities and towns. The 36 foot swimming pool which is privately owned by the apartments and has views over the valleys in an elevated position. The owners are happy for you to help yourself to the fig trees, apricots, pomegranate and vegetable gardens plus all the herbs for cooking are growing on the land. October vacations can include olive picking with the possibility of taking away your own organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The trails around the property make it a perfect location for bike riding and horse rider will enjoy the possibility of horse hacking with our horses. There are 4 apartments available and they can accommodate up to 20 people, so if you see no availability, or you are a large group, please do drop us an email, we are like to be able to accommodate you. Animals are welcome, as long as their owners are well behaved! On request we can organise cooking and pottery classes for adults and kids, day trips to Rome and Florence and wine tasting with local producers.
The apartment features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Other standard amenities include a private pool, a washing machine, and a coffee maker. Housekeeping is available on request.

I would give this negatvie stars, if I could! This was an absolute atrocity! The road to get to this place needed to be built, to say the least! It was dangerous, with gigantic potholes and you ran the risk of loosing your car's front end! The owners of this location were not even in the Country! We were told they had gone on vacation! They left the other tenant/guest in charge as we arrived. The place was filthy, freezing cold and no supplies. We were even given used, wet soap to use from the other tenant/guest! We had to leave within the hour! We absolutely could not stay there! There was no resolve to get our money back! I would never again book anything with Expedia that deals with VRBO!

Un angolino di paradiso

Questo posto ci ha letteralmente incantati! La proprietà è immersa nella quiete più assoluta della natura nonostante sia a pochi minuti in macchina da Città della Pieve. Gli unici rumori che si sentono sono quelli delle cicale e dei cavalli. L'appartamenti in cui abbiamo alloggiato aveva dei bellissimi spazi, grandi e curati, sia interni che esterni. Se proprio volessimo trovare un difetto, la mancanza di un parapetto alla scala interna per accedere al soppalco ci ha lasciato un po' inquieti, avendo una bimba piccola. I padroni di casa hanno tante piccole e grandi attenzioni per i loro ospiti. Solo a titolo esemplificativo, un cestino di benvenuto contenente verdura fresca dell'orto e una bottiglia d'olio di loro produzione, un piccolo cestino con prodotti da bagno per sopperire ad eventuali dimenticanze degli ospiti, l'uso della lavatrice con detersivi inclusi. La piscina è grande e ha una bellissima visuale. Che dire di più?! Ci siamo pentiti di aver prenotato una sola settimana!
