Holiday Inn Canyon De Chelly

Nice setting. Rooms a bit cramped and older but clean. Mixed feelings on staff. Most were great, one at mid day not so great.

This hotel is in a nice location, the staff is very pleasant, the restaurant on premises is quite good. But the main function of a hotel is to let you have a good night's sleep, which we didn't as the beds were not comfortable. The mattresses were sagging in both beds in our room. We alerted the staff the next day and hopefully the mattresses will be changed in the near future. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable.

There are not a lot of options in Chinle. The hotel was fine, not the nicest place I've ever stayed but, also, far from the worst. It felt safe and was clean enough for a place to sleep for one night. There is a restaurant (although we did not eat there) and a couple fast food places in the vicinity. The location was great, we woke up and were at the Canyon in 5 minutes. It met our needs.

Enjoyed our time at Canyon de Chelle and staying at this hotel was part of the experience. Felt connected with the people.

We stay here often. The rooms have always been and neat. The staff always friendly and willing to help. We love that we can get a breakfast voucher for a little more money. There isn't a microwave. The down fall is the restaurant was really slow the first morning we stayed the second morning was much better. Also the gift shop is closed during the winter they say itself because they down size staff but it would have been nice to look around and be open if we needed stuff. We will definatley stay here again.

Probably the best hotel in the little town of Chinle. Perfect place to stay if you are visiting the National Park.

I was very happy with the room very clean and comfortable beds. The restaurant provided excellent service. The complimentary breakfast was fair but the regular menu was excellent.

close to the canyon and local restUranta.no breakfast buffet available.restaurant opens at 7,not good for early start.good value for the money, compated ypto other area hotels

hotel was super clean, painted nice, great landscaping. room smelled clean , bed was comfy, bathroom big and super clean.. we enjoyed it all... also the restaurant was great,, and yummy food too.

Over-priced - and surprising to NOT have a breakfast included, especially given the rather high room charge.

The hotel is well maintained. The restaurant serves decent fare. The room we stayed in was immaculate. The only flaw was the tobacco smell on the corridors. We stayed in a non smoking room which did not smell, They should not mix smoking and non smoking in the same wing.

This hotel seemed to be closest to Canyon de Chelly National Monument, which was why we stopped on our way to four corners. The canyon is beautiful. The hotel seemed well-maintained and the early afternoon staff was a little unprofessional, but not rude. Our room wasn't ready, so when we came back, the evening check-in staff was slow at checking us in, but friendly. There is a trading post in the lobby along with a restaurant that served good food (the roast beef frybread sandwich was great). Chinle is a bit run-down, and I was glad that this hotel is separated from the main town. It's also protected from the winds by a hill, so we didn't get as bad a dust storm as the rest of the town. Overall, comfortable bed and room, close to the canyon, convenient souvenir shop, good restaurant. After our experience, this is the only hotel I would stay at in Chinle.

Totally serviceable hotel in a quiet part of town. Stationed at the old Garcia's Trading Post. It is a common meeting point for guides to take you into Canyon de Chelly.

Chinle is a small town and this is probably the best place to stay there because it is right at the very entrance to the canyon. It is the best place to meet your tour guide for the canyon. DO NOT hire a tour guide to drive your 4X4 SUV into the canyon! It is too rough of a ride when you are in it. Let the jeeps they drive take the beating! Also, they have a radio installed in case they run into trouble. But by all means, take the tour!

This is a beautiful location with an excellent place to spend the night and prepare for a marvellous tour of one of America's beauty spots. The motel and location are worth another visit in the future.

Typical Holiday Inn with good access to the canyon. If you cannot hump your luggage up stairs get a first floor room, there's no elevator. Some of the front desk staff seemed a little short with us when we asked for assistance (in other matters). The sight of a mother in the small pool with a baby wearing what looked like a full diaper turned me off for pool use. There should be a law prohibiting use of pools by diapered babies. The restaurant was OK.

Very convenient location with clean room. The tours of the canyon left right from the hotel lobby. Restaurant was average but the service was good. There are few choices in the area for eating and it wasn't necessary to go outside. The pool water was green - maybe it was too early in the summer (June 2-3) to get it ready for summer visitors? Not pleasant to even sit near for a picnic.

Nice, comfortable, clean rooms. The food was expensive for the quality.

Had a great time, and would stay there again.
