Not sure who or what was in the room above us, but OMG it sounded like a zoo. I thought at 1 point whatever or whoever was going to come through the ceiling. Sad part about this was it was after midnight on a Friday and Saturday night. Saturday night I finally had to call the front desk and they said they would contact the people above us and if things didn't get quiet in 10 minutes to call them back. They did finally calm down, but kids running up and down the halls at all hours of the night. The hotel was nice, the beds are hard as well are the pillows. When we checked in they also charged another $20 per night which they stated would be refundable why not sure room was paid in full before we checked it.
Our bathroom stunk of cigarette smoke so badly, intolerable really. we tried fan on, no better, fan off still no good. Thankfully the rest of the room seemed ok, but we had to have the bathroom door closed the entire stay. The traffic noises are not controlled by the hotel, this i understand. But don't stay here if you need good sleep or rest, it was like a racetrack into the wee hours.
The property was very nice. It had all you needed (shopping, coffee, ice cream) and the usual friendly staff, clean rooms, nice balcony, and big room. I would stay here again.
Very kind staff and beautiful decorations
The coffee bar/lounge
Great service.
Surprisingly nice for a city of 25,000. Bailey's Restaurant serves the best hamburger I have ever tasted.
It was clean and modern. The air conditioning in the room kept shutting off. Breakfast was pitiful, cereal, and oatmeal, and some tired pastry, Very disappointed. Would not recommend this place and would never stay there again. Very overpriced for sub standard accommodations.
Hotel was in a nice area and was reasonably clean. Could use a little maintenance on the air conditioning system. Employees when checking out seemed interested and said they would have it fixed.
Was conveniently located for my purpose. Easy walk to the facility I was visiting.
Stiff bed and the AC was not only super loud it didn't really work
It was a beautiful surprise!!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend family and friends to the Inn at Market Square and whenever I am in that area I will definitely stay there again
Easy check in Nice fire pit sitting area outside Comfortable bed
Good. As expected. The only thing I would change is parking. Parking could be better. You have to park in a completely different lot off to the side of the building. Poorly lit at night. Overall beautiful property.
The staff were all very nice although they seemed understaffed, and the hotel was clearly in the middle of a remodel, so that may have affected my experience. There was a mix of decor throughout the halls and rooms. Some old, some new, some incomplete. I had booked a room for 4 people, and there were only 2 towels in the room. The furniture in the room was dusty. The beds were uncomfortable. The photo in the room was a little creepy (albeit historically accurate for the area I guess).
The pictures don’t represent the hotel actual condition. We were going to stay 2 nights but we end up staying only one.
This was a one night stay with my husband and me. We wanted something different from a chain and this place was perfect! We liked all the different sitting areas and the little cafe was great for a cup of coffee and breakfast by the fireplace.

We currently offer a complimentary continental breakfast of fresh fruits, sweet breads, cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs, milk, juice and coffee. We are in the process of expanding our restaurant offerings to include a full made to order breakfast menu. Regarding pricing, we are very competitive for the Chicago market, but certainly wish we had exceeded your expectations. We are here to serve our guests, not disappoint them.
