We stayed here as a couple in April 2017 for Songkran, and the location was perfect. Situated in central Old City Chiang Mai, It was walking distance to restaurants, temples, and New Year festivities. The room was beautiful, with a lovely balcony and awesome jetted bathtub. The staff was courteous and helpful, and we most definitely enjoyed our stay. The only things that could stand improvement are: (1) the breakfast buffet is okay, and (2) they play the same 3-4 songs by the same artist in the lobby/common areas on repeat 24/7. Otherwise, I certainly recommend staying here!
We spent one night in Sirilanna Chiangmai in April. We were very pleased with this hotel. Its decor is Thai and original, beautiful wooden door with colorful paintings and doorknobs. Every little detail was tastefully done. Our beds were comfortable and bathroom is huge with jetted bathtub and separate shower area. This hotel offered free airport transportation, the shuttle picked us up early from the airport, and hotel was only 15 minutes away. Check in took less than 10 minutes and our room was ready at 9 am! Big thumbs up for the hotel management to let us in the room so early. The location was perfect. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. ATM was directly across from the hotel. There was a lady at the lobby arranged all our trips and excursions. She's super friendly and helpful. She was able to get us private tour at last minute with reasonable price. The best part of the hotel was the outdoor heated salt water swimming pool! It's super clean and water temperature was just right. Areas for improvement: too many mosquitoes in our room. My kids got bitten all over from the mosquitoes in the room. It may not be the issues with the hotel, but that's he only thing we were disappointed about. Overall, I would return to this hotel again and also recommend it to my friends and family.
This hotel is in the old city and is a convenient location to walk and enjoy the area and night markets. The hotel is old but that is what gives it charm. My only complaints are: WiFi is a real pain. Each time you leave your room, even to walk to a different area of the hotel, you lose the connection and have to re-log on with a long code that often doesn't work. Plus it is not secure. The other complaint is luke warm water in the room. You have to run the shower or sink for at least ten minutes for the water to heat up at all. Staff were all very friendly and considerate. We had a few issues with the room the first day we checked in. We mentioned them to the staff and everything was resolved the following day...very efficient. Food for breakfast was okay but not much choice if you don't eat Asian food in the mornings. No cheese and the bread is not edible. Little pancakes and waffles were good, as was the coffee. The pool is lovely but most of it is shaded with the huge trees that surround it. People were clambouring to find places to sit in the sun but there wasn't enough space. The trees really could be pruned to provide more exposure to those of us travelling from northern climates who really crave some vitamin D. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle when returning to the airport. Not sure why they don't pick up the guests arriving at the same time. There is lots of bottled water for the guests and a little fridge in the room to keep the beverages cold. Each room has a small deck which is really pleasant but be sure to bring bug spray with you as the mosquitoes are plentiful.
The service at front desk was OK. They werent very friendly or inviting when we were checking in, checking out or even asking for general information. There is a language barrier but I was still able to understand and speak a little bit as I am Laotian which is very similar to thai language. The room was definitely very nice though. The dark wood furniture was beautiful and the hotel had an "old chiang mai' feel. the location was great too as everything is walkable distance.
We stayed here on our honeymoon for 4 nights. The hotel is amazing, location is great and the staff are really welcoming and couldn't do more for you. No matter what time of day/night or how regularly you walked through reception they always had the time to say hello! The room was gorgeous and the furniture screamed Lanna Thai and was really authentic. Our front door was beautiful and it was really quirky that we had to lock it with a padlock! The pool area was lovely and really well maintained, on a regular basis they were out sweeping up the fallen leaves and change the used towels from the sun beds. Breakfast was also good with a wide choice or local and continental options. We hope to come back to Chiang Mai in the future as 4 days was just not long enough and when we do we will definitely stay here again!
We stayed at Sirilanna hotel for 3 night. The hotel is beautiful with traditional Thai furniture. The location is very good, in the middle of the Old town. Breakfast was good with mixture of European and Asian food
Our stay at Sirlianna was great! We got to Chiang Mai pretty early, but we checked-in and left our bags at the hotel while they prepared our room and we walked around the city. The room was so pretty, had the perfect Lana Architecture touch we were looking for! The breakfast was okay, nothing extravagant but they offered a good variety. The location was good, it had a lot of small shops and restaurants within a short walk.
We had a fabulous stay at the Sirilanna Hotel in Chiang Mai for 3 nights. As soon as we arrived they provided us with a beautiful welcoming drink and made us feel relaxed then they upgraded us to the superior room. The hotel is a quaint boutique hotel centrally located in Chiang Mai's old town. Beautiful teak wood bed stands out in the room and spacious balcony for some fresh air. They also have a swimming pool with a spa on it to make your stay more relaxing. We would return to this hotel when we come back to Chiang Mai again.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good range of breakfast options. Lovely old northern Thai wooden features and very comfy beds. As other people have said, the hotel is a little tired in places but great value for the price and we would definitely recommend it. Free transfer from hotel to airport.
This is hotel is in a really good location. You can walk to some of the best markets and restaurants, like hot chili. They also provided transportation from the airport in a limo van and can arrange any type of excursion.
