Highly recommended, clean room, professional, kind, helpful staff, everything clean & comfortable, good location. Cafe convenient. Secure & safe. Good choice near evening market. Pretty big place, busy front desk. Price reasonable.
Raming Lodge was highly recommended and it exceeded expectations. The staff were extremely professional, patient and helpful, and answered about a dozen questions before I booked. The room was large and extremely well maintained (so clean!), and the bed was enormous. The breakfast buffet has everything you would need for a good start to the day and the courtyard is a lovely place to dine (also do yourself a favour and have a burger at Rock Me Burgers on the ground floor). The pool area is very relaxing and has a good shaded area in the afternoon. My only mild complaint would be that it is a chlorine pool. A switch to salt would be an improvement. The best thing about Raming is the location. You can walk ten minutes in any direction and see something interesting, including the Night Bazaar and Wat Phra Singh. I would strongly recommend it and I can’t wait to stay there again.
Arrived here and was able to check in early no problem and also got an upgraded room! The staff were so helpful and we booked a day trip with a private driver from here as we wanted to do 5 places in one go. The room was fine and served us well! It's so handy to the inner city and thae pae gate. Plus I highly recommend eating at Rock Me Burger in front of the hotel! We ate there twice! Ask for Mr. T - cool waiter! Great rock and roll music too! The pool is out the back of the hotel and is fine for a swim and cool off in the heat of the day.
First time to Chiang Mai..This is an excellent place to stay if you are into the night scene. The room was very clean..The air con needs to be moved to the centre of the room. The staff were friendly and helpful.Breakfast was adequate.Ate in the restaurant at night...not recommended .they try to serve burgers etc and it does not work ...service there was poor. There are places down the street where you can eat.Great bars also ...just be careful and sign the docket for each drink you buy for yourself and the pretty bar girl
I have stayed at Raming Lodge several times. It is a very pleasant older hotel with an excellent location, situated between the old city and the night market, in easy walking distance to either (~ 5 minutes to the old city, ~ 10 minutes to the night market). Loikroh Road, which runs if front of the hotel, has many restaurants, shops, tour services, and bars within a few blocks of Raming Lodge. Chez Marco, an excellent, medium-priced French restaurant, is literally next door. About 10 minutes walking past the night market, over the iron bridge, is a Rimpling's Supermarket that has a large selection of groceries and prepared foods. I have always found the staff at Raming Lodge to be very polite and helpful.
Clean hotel Free mini bar Walking distance to night markets Has 7 -11 just down the street Day spa is great too Friendly staff Nice big hotel Stayed in the deluxe room You get free pick up and drop off at airport
We accidentally booked our stay for four nights rather than the three that we wanted. When we tried to change it back to three, we were charged for a total of 7 nights. We tried to explain our situation with the front desk when we arrived and they said that it is their policy and that they would not refund us for the four nights that we did not stay there. We were charged 800 usd for what originally should have been 300 usd. They would not give us a copy of our bill or even show us our bill. The worst part was the manager was not aroumd but called to tell the front desk that she would give us 15 percent back off of the 400 extra we were charged. Be careful if you are lookimg to book here, this was not okay.
12 people stayed on a golf trip. The hotel well and truly served our purpose. Location, service and proximity to local attractions was super. We could walk around the city without any problems. The pool out the back of the hotel was clean and tidy, breakfast was basic but enough. For the price hard to look past.
Great location. Free shuttle to airport if you booked deluxe rooms or better. Pretty decent breakfast, they got us to go boxes for our 0630 trip. Booked our ATV and Elephant Sanctuary outings through the hotel after we compare the prices on line, decided to give them some business. Loved the king size beds. 3rd time staying here.
We stayed here for a week in March and were very happy with the location. We had a room at the back and it was spacious and clean. Bed was hard but we asked for something to soften it up and they responded almost immediately. Internet was fine and we never watched the TV so can't comment. Breakfast was standard fare and ok. We used the pool pretty much every day and it was good - not very large but it was never busy. The young man at the pool bar was excellent. Lady at the tourist desk was very helpful as was all the staff. Close to the night market and lots of restaurants within walking distance. It is on a busy street with lots of massage parlours and bars but it was never a problem with being harassed. The only negative about the hotel was that they allowed people to smoke in the hallways near the elevators and some days it was pretty strong. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again.
