Had booked a room thru booking.com with a clear preference for single king size bed. Day before check in got a call from hotel asking probable time of check in. When I said 10 I was told there will be extra charge for early check in. I told it doesn't matter I will just check in and drop my bag don't need to use room again she told there were will be extra charge. If such is the case wonder why they call and ask. From what I have seen normally hotels are ok to give room early if there is one available and nobody charges for early check in though it may be for late check out. The same dialogue was repeated when I went to drop my bag so finally I checked in only in the evening , however got twin beds. Another unpleasant experience was when the next day I had three male colleagues visiting and I had to call them to my room before we left for meetings. I was told they don't encourage meetings (????) and they can allow one person at a time. However when I checked out I was given a feedback form wherein my feedback was not good. So the lady at the reception came over to talk to me and subsequently without any request from my side the manager also met me and apologised. So this was really nice that they valued feedback
There were few annoying things in that hotel: all day phone ringing (dont know from where); rooms had high humidity level (towels have never dried and shoes felt sticky). But, breakfast was good, roof-top restaurant was good, good service on reception.
I had a bad experience. Though this is not a great line to start with but that’s how I felt. There were two occasions where I felt really pissed off.. The hotel has a spa and I thought of availing it. The prices were expensive when compared to other 5star hotel Spas at Chennai. I simply asked if they provided any discounts to resident guests and I was answered very rudely as if they were doing some favor. And I just walked off. The rooms had 2 bottles of 500 ml water in total, I called the house keeping for an additional bottle and I was told that it is chargeable and they cant give even one bottle complementary. That how it is..The saving grace was their staff at the restaurant. The pool is very small but the rooms are well kept. For sure I Won’t stay here again.
Service is Prompt but Rooms - especially toilets are not up to the mark. Housekeeping is also terrible as they generally forget to put towels and only One Towel is provided. Hand Towels are generally missing. Location wise also its a bit recluse as you cant find good restaurants or bars in vicinity- neither are shopping options available. Mosquitoes is also a big challenge and you find a staff just engaged in removing mosquitoes from the lobby. Breakfast buffet is good.
Came with family last Sunday to symphony restaurant, the food is really wonderful, fresh and delicious. Live counters were awesome, I had enjoyed the chat counter and lassi from the live, and also we had experienced one the best mutton biryani at symphony. Service offered by the hotel staff was polite and friendly. Elaborate buffet spread at minimal cost, right place to dine with family for Sunday Brunch.
Checked in on August 19, checking process was quick and smooth. Good location , very near Egmore and Central stations. Their buffet breakfast had a wide variety including the wellness counter. They have Waves - bar for rewinding, Gym for workouts, a good swimming near the Board walk area. The only negative which i felt was the sound from the Waves bar since i stayed in the first floor during the evenings. Otherwise overall a good value for money.
I stayed on an business trip.The way rooms maintained was excellent.Whenever am back to my room I could feel that am at home.Reception was so helpful.Overall I could say Value for money.Kudos to Ramada chennai.
Based on reviews on Trip Advisor I stayed in this hotel for one night in my business trip. To be honest the hotel turned out to be much beyond my expectations. To start with a pick up from airport in a clean and a well maintained car with polite driver. The check-in was smooth. The staff at the reception were courteous and friendly with pleasant smile on the face always... The room was spacious and we'll done up. The centrally air-conditioned room had Tv, A tea coffee maker, a refrigerator and had the room service menu, and details on the hotel and city as well. This was a good feature and made stay more comfortable. The toilet was clean with all modern fittings as well as all the toiletries provided including shaving kit, dental kit, comb and other normal stuff. The hotel provides good WI-Fi. In room service was good and so was the food served in the room. Breakfast spread had many varieties. The hotel has two restaurants and both are very attractive with decor and serves good cuisine.Location is good and is ln busy commercial area. All in all a good hotel and worth the stay.
I had a very good stay with my family!. The people or the staff of the Hotel are very friendly and quick response for any issue. Food is very good especially the board walk restaurant! Thank you Ramada for the great hospitality and service.. just loved it! keep it up :)
Excellent hospitality..... Amazing food taste which always tempt you to have more and more , specially the wide spread breakfast @ Sympony!! This was my first visit to Ramada chennai egmore.... Really had a good experience starts from your check in till you we leave the hotel. Good work overall. services are excellent and everybody is really very eager to serve us in a best possible manner. Thanks to all front office staffs who were so friendly and made my stay so comfortable.. I will strongly recommend this hotel to all my friends and family..
