Residence Inn by Marriott Chattanooga Downtown

The hotel location is excellent if you want to stay downtown in the midst of all the local activities. walking distance to aquarium, children activities,a ballpark behind hotel, eateries all around, electric shuttle across the street, and a safe feeling. We stayed in the one bedroom suite. spacious enough with a kitchen, 2 eye stove burner, full refridgerator and microwave. no ice machine located on the floors. a small selection of pots, dishes and silverware. no dish liquid,or dishwasher liquid ,no oven mitt or towel. parking behind the hotel was $8 and we left car there because space was limited. In front of the hotel is a patio area where you can grill and chairs/table provided.Breakfast area was kept clean and stocked with your average meal. It would be nice if the balcony was one that you could actually sit on

The headline says it. I travel for a living and the Residence Inns are a go to for me and my colleagues. I used some of my Marriott points for some downtime with my family, and the long weekend was perfect! The staff is great, doing everything they could for us. The continental breakfast is better than par, with choice of eggs and other hot food. The hotel breakfast keeps you from getting "restaurantiits," caused by eating out three meals a day. The rooms are like a perfect little Ikea apartment, with everything you could need, including dishes, little snacks, a big refridgerator, full-power microwave, and dishwasher. The shower will blow you away with great water pressure. There are plenty of outlets for your electronics. Road Warrior tip: Bring a surge protector so you can centralize and protect your electronics. They are pet-friendly, but friendship comes with a fee. Location, location, location! This property is perfectly placed, within easy walking distance to the Aquarium, ATT Field, too many restaurants to list, and the North Shore. You can ride the Ducks or a carriage. Bring your walking shoes.

This was our 2nd stay here and it certainly won't be our last. We love Chattanooga and we especially love a clean dog friendly hotel. The location is excellent. The staff were all friendly and professional and the breakfast buffet is nice too. Don't miss the Aquarium because it's super!!!!

We stayed a few nights around the time of the eclipse and it is very close to the aquarium, the free bus is across the street. Sure it's a little threadbare and the "full kitchen" doesn't include an oven but I'd stay there again.

Staying for the weekend before the eclipse. Got dog and in-laws in tow and everyone is pretty happy. Walk to dinner and waterfront. Rooms are pretty standard but are showing a bit of age. Dogs are allowed for $100.

This hotel is in the center of everything with plenty of green space for the pups!! Very clean and well maintained!! Just steps away from dining, entertainment all pet friendly! The bluff walk is is also within walking distance. Parked the car and didn't use it again until we left.

Stayed 3 times in last year. Only so-so on cleanliness. Desk staff is okay but overwhelmed. Forget about using the Text Us feature on the Marriott App-they will not respond. Housekeeping is spotty: I got skipped on the last 2 visits. Bed is comfy but A/C can not keep up with Chattanooga summer. Slowest elevator outside of 3rd world. Breakfast is never set up on time. Good location though.

Hotel was very nice, great location within walking distance of downtown attractions. We had a family reunion there with 60+ attendees, and everyone loved the lobby, rooms, breakfast, and indoor pool. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were suites with kitchens, very nice.

Nice hotel downtown Chattanooga near the aquarium, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly overall rooms are spacious air conditioning works well in hotel it is relatively new and modern. You will have to pay to park your car on their lot $8 per night

Our family of four and extended family from Kentucky and New Jersey stayed here to explore the sights of Chattanooga for the weekend. The best feature of this hotel is the location. It's a short walk to the Tennessee Aquarium, Creative Discovery Museum, several restaurants, stadium and the river. The suites are fully equipped with a kitchenette, the hotel has a small pool great for kids, and the breakfast has a good variety but is just OK. The other plus is that parking is included and that is a huge benefit in downtown Chattanooga. There were two things that prevented a better rating. 1) The pullout bed was extremely uncomfortable almost to the point we seriously considered moving hotels. We checked and they didn't have two double beds available, but decided the location and parking were enough for us to stay. 2) Although we indicated we were a party of 4, there were only towels for 3. Room service was not available, so extra supplies have to be retrieved from the front desk.
