Beautiful historic hotel in the heart of everything although very quiet at night. Close to all the main attractions and restaurants. Loved our beautiful room, hotel breakfast and cocktail hour was a bonus. Would love to stay at this hotel again.

Historic hotel in a great location. There is a happy hour in the lobby in the late afternoon, with quite decent wine. The free breakfast buffet is good, with the exception of the undrinkable coffee, which tastes like battery acid. Our spacious room was lovely, but I was surprised that there were no safety/grab bars in the bath tub. We enjoyed our two-day stay. We would stay there again.

We absolutely loved our time here. Lovely hotel, gracious staff, and a beautiful walkable community. I felt safe here and enjoyed the historic buildings and diverse food options. The people were the best though. Would definitely return and definitely recommend The Great George to anyone.

I truly enjoyed everything about this property. The staff is nice, my room was on the corner w 2 windows, the 2 beds were comfortable, happy hour was 5-6 p.m. The free breakfast had a variety and changed a bit each morning. Coffee, water and teas were readily available. The location was lso wonderful.
