On short notice we had to find a hotel with a vacancy. This property appeared to be new or recently refurbished. My room was clean and new looking everything fully operational. The front desk workers were extremely professional and helpful. I also witnessed an upset guest giving a Front Desk Rep a difficult time; however the Front Desk Rep remained professional in resolving the issue. Also did not experience any noise from I-77 which I was expecting. I definitely would stay here again and do recommend this location
Every time I stay here I encounter 2 ladies that go out of their way to make my stay Legendary. Denise and Jane always are very helpful and they make me feel like I am at home. I cant tell you how much I enjoy coming to the hotel and seeing these ladies. They make my trip worth while. Please pass this on to them for me. See you Monday. Brad Mason
Charlotte is growing exceptionally fast which means lots of traffic. The hotel was a reasonable price, very clean, and has a well-maintained breakfast. I should have gotten a larger room so be sure to choose one that is the size you need. This hotel maintains all areas at a high standard.
I was in town for some family business, and this hotel was closest to where I needed to be. I had planned to stay for two nights using points, but checked out after the first night. When I arrived, there were a limited number of rooms available, so I was assigned a room on the front side of the hotel - which is the side with heavy traffic. I would imagine the back side of the hotel would be quieter, so if you plan a stay there - keep that in mind. I encountered several problems at the hotel that resulted in my early departure: 1) The sink in the bath area was an extremely slow drain - water from brushing my teeth took almost 20 minutes to drain - and there really wasn't a way to get the sink clean, because anytime the water was turned on, it backed up in the sink. 2) The bed base was very shabby. When I first sat on the bed, it creaked, but I didn't think a lot about it....until I actually got into the bed, and found that anytime I moved, the whole base of the bed crackled and creaked to the extent that it would keep the average person awake. 3) When I first got into the bed, I happened to glance down and noticed that there was a gross yellow stain on the comforter - right where you would pull it up. Disgusting! 4) While at the hotel, I heard lots of sirens - which I figured were out on the highway which was very close to the hotel. Around 4:00am, after not being able to sleep at all, I walked down to the front desk to talk to the on-duty attendant. When I got to the elevator, it was broken, so I went down the stairs. Once downstairs, I found out that the elevator was broken because the cable had broken, and the sirens I heard were from the paramedics coming to take the people on the elevator to the hospital. Thank God I wasn't the one on the elevator when It broke! Overall - this was a bad experience, and unacceptable as far as Marriott hotels go. I was refunded my points for the one night based on all of the problems I encountered - but beware the hotel does have its share of issues. The BRIGHT SPOT in this whole experience was Arielle - the morning front desk attendant. She was SO nice and SO apologetic - and I give her major kudos for handling the situation in such a professional manner. I hope that the hotel management knows what a great asset they have in her!
Easy access on and off I 77. The beds were great, good comfort for the price. The breakfast was one of the better breakfasts included in the price of the hotel. Stayed on the first floor and it was very quiet. A mall and resturant's close by. Would stay there again
This place is clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff is friendly, the breakfast is good enough and the rooms are cozy and fresh. The breakfast area is a little small but comfortable. I love the bottles of water available in the room. There is coffee and tea available all day and night. There are snacks for sale if you get a late night hunger attack. The wifi actually works and works good enough. I'd stay here again.
Everything as expected, with proven consistency and excellent customer service as always. The front desk agent was Arielle on this particular evening. She was so friendly and welcoming! She really started the stay off on a great footing. good hotel here :)
Stayed over here for one night while on a trip to Alabama. Ease of access and location were both excellent. For the price paid this hotel offered a great value and very comfortable accommodation. The customer service was fine and helpful. The wifi was slower and the hotel could be renovated. It is in a commercial park off a main road so noise intrusion could be a problem for some guests.
Love it. Just what I expect from a Marriott brand. Only two things prevented me from giving 5 stars..1) the (free)wifi isn't great. They do offer a premium one for an additional $5/ day but I just feel that's unnecessary. Most hotels of this caliber offer good, totally free WiFi and this one should too. And 2) there is no thermostat. You cannot set the temperature on the thermostat and have the heat/air turn on and off as necessary so my choice at night was to have it run all night and be hot or turn it off and be cold. Other than that my stay was great!
My wife and I were stuck in Charlotte after multiple weather related flight cancellations. Due to the cancellations, there were minimal hotels available near the airport. The Marriott app indicated that rooms were available at the Northlake location. When my wife and I arrived at the hotel close to midnight we were told that the app had overbooked the hotel and no rooms were available. I was able to find another Marriott 7 miles away that had rooms. Ronald at the front desk then got on the phone with the other Marriott location and explained the situation. He then indicated that the Northlake location would cover the room charge at the other location as well as the Uber fare to take us to that location. While I was less than thrilled that the hotel had been overbooked, Ronald's willingness to help us find a new location and cover the associated charges made life much easier. As a long time Marriott Rewards member, I have been to numerous hotels and was extremely impressed with their service and Ronald's efforts.
