This is the first hotel that does not clean your room unless you request. In addition, I went to housekeeping to get additional towels and was asked to sign for the towels. Later, I found out that I actually sign to not have my room cleaned....shame on you Fairfiled!
We are totally disappointed with the overall service including a Slow draining bathtub and uncomfortable beds. The free internet is pretty much nonexistent. We attempted to eat the free breakfast Sunday morning only to find out that the line was long, there was insufficient seating and they were slow in replenishing the dishes. So we decided to eat elsewhere. Prior to leaving we asked the housekeeper to give us extra towel and facecloth when she cleaned our room. Long story short she never cleaned our room and we had to find the housekeeper to get clean towels. FYI. When they ask you to sign off on towels **don’t do it**. Housekeeping misled us into thinking we were signing for clean towels. When we complained to the front desk, they said that we actually signed paperwork indicating that we did not want our rooms cleaned. We had to place our damp towels in the hallway because the room was taking on that damp odor. In addition the thermostats only run a certain times no matter what temp is set it on. In a nutshell there are several other hotels nearby stay away from Fairfield.
I was very pleased with my stay. Stacy was very helpful at the check-in desk. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too soft for me. The exercise room was adequate for what I needed. Breakfast was nothing special just the usual. The coffee was terrible. We ended up going to Dunkin’ Donuts just down the street for breakfast. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
Great place to stay I would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. The managers and staff are awesome! My room was nice and clean and the breakfast and the breakfast attendant was awesome. I think her name is Janie. She is the best!
This hotel is nicely appointed and new (or remodeled). Staff is congenial from the front desk to housekeeping. It’s clean and quiet. The doors to the rooms don’t slam – which is hard to find in a hotel. It was very quiet. It’s close to shopping centers and has easy access to two highways. The downside is that the wireless is very spotty. So if you have to get work done, that could be a problem. The AC is a little noisy but no more so than other hotels with individual units. Overall a comfortable, relaxing stay. I think you will get a good night’s rest here.
The check-in area and breakfast area is very nice and clean. My room at first glance appeared to be very neat and clean. However, upon laying down, I noticed a very large black area on the ceiling. I would assume it is water damage that had previously been repaired. Also, I was overcharged for items in the vending area and a corrected bill showing the final amount due could not be produced. This makes being reimbursed by my company quiet difficult.
We stopped here for some rest and found a gem. We got what we needed. The hotel was easy to find, the staff was friendly, all of the areas we saw were clean, and the beds were super comfortable. We would definitely stay again!
The property is pretty old and seems like it is not perfectly maintained. But, nonetheless, the staff was nice, the breakfast was good. Location is awesome. The room was reasonably clean and comfortable. I wasn’t overwhelmed but it was a good stay.
Stayed here a couple nights for a quick family trip on Spring Break. First, the location is excellent, right off I-77 and close to plenty of restaurants. The staff was outstanding from checking in, breakfast, checking out, and helping with more towels when we needed them. My first impression was that I may have messed up by booking here. This Fairfield seemed to be a bit older than others I have visited. The room was average, my biggest disappointment was that there was no thermostat in the room, so you have to pick something on the heating/cooling system and adjust until you get it right. The system never shuts off, so you have a loud fan blowing all the time. The room we had didn’t seem to be vacuumed very well from the previous guest as my children found lots of little glitter stars in the floor. Other than those minor issues, our stay was good. The bed was comfy, the breakfast was decent, and the staff was great. I chose this Fairfield because I love the Marriott brand and the price was great. All in all I would rate this place as “average”.
This hotel was an absolute blessing to my husband and I. We had a few days we needed to stay in a hotel in Charlotte and found this gem and are so grateful to the whole team! We checked in on a terrible stormy evening and Maera was so kind and gracious, even offered to help us with our many bags! Then we had great encounters every day with the housekeeping team - make sure you stay on Annie's floor, she is phenomenal and took a personal interest in making sure we were okay and enjoying our stay with everything we needed. We will 100% be back!
