We were greeted by overflowing trash cans - flies and half a pot of food on the ground. The smell of cleaners and plug in air fresheners was strong, but not enough to cover animal and human odors. The house was cute, but all the furnishings were aged and dingy with lots of stains and grime. Blankets needed washing before they could be used. I called to discuss condition and the manager was aware of the state of the home. No offer to relocate - no availability. Stayed because only 2 night stay with two family members meeting there from out of state. No hot water for the first day - hotwater heater at 98 degrees. Lots of books and games provided, but nowhere cozy to read or play. Could not recommend in current condition.

Beautiful home.

I was really impressed on the accuracy of all the phone from the listing. They home was peaceful and very homey. We wasnt there long but it was a very nice stay. Easy check in. Very fast response to the owners. Over all everything was great.

There for a weekend stay with family, attending Bananas game at Bank of America stadium. Good location, quiet neighborhood, great for the dog. Close to downtown, which made it easy to get around. The space was perfect for us (4 adults + 1 dog). Had a couple of small issues that we shared via text and were addressed. There are some minor things that need to be addressed, due to age and use, but for the cost and location, it was a wonderful place.

Great Christmas getaway

The property was nice for our Christmas getaway and visit with our daughter and grandkids. The house is quaint and clean. Just the right size for a short visit. Neighborhood was beautifully decorated for the holidays.

Excellent Location. Quiet Neighborhood with a Convenient Location

The house has been nicely redone. Communication with Charlotte was quick & amazing. We had a few very small things that needed to be addressed and they were all taken care of quickly, easily &willingly. Would absolutely stay again!

No one responded for early check-in. The thermostat was set to 56 degrees. A bunch of light bulbs were out. No hot water at all to shower.

Great location and convenient to uptown

I was very happy with our stay. We were only 15 minutes, with traffic, from the convention center. The neighborhood is charming, and we were a 5 minute drive from Wal-Mart which was very helpful in getting supplies and anything I may have forgotten at home.

Needs a big refresh

Location was good. Pictures online are a bit deceiving...the interior needs a big refresh, pics give the impression the property is "updated and fresh" and that is definitely not the case. Love that its an older property so age of the house itself is not the issue. We were there visiting our son and his family. Tried to toss the ball with our grandson in the back yard but that did not last long because of pieces of gutter, siding and other trash in the backyard. Very disappointing. Mattresses were not comfortable so no good sleep. Im not going to say we wouldn't stay there again, but it definitely wouldn't be or first choice.

Not a comfortable stay

The neighborhood was charming but unfortunately not a good stay. We were over billed for our pet deposit and when I called to ask about it the host was incredibly rude. The error was removed but if I did not check my itemized bill I would have never noticed and instead of apologizing for the mistake she blamed me and said I should not have rented through VRBO and should have gone directly to their site. The whole time I was talking to her I was thinking “Why am I giving this place my money?” When we arrived everything looked okay. The worst part was every piece of furniture was so uncomfortable we wished that we had brought our camping chairs. This made us all miserable during the entire stay. The second bathroom was always freezing cold including the water so all of us ended up essentially sharing one bathroom. This place could be very nice. I was not going to write a review because I don’t like to put negative things out there but I keep getting emails to post a review so I hope the owner sees this and fixes these issues.

Great place to stay.

The house is situated in a nice older neighborhood. It has a large yard, cozy communal spaces, and lots of sleeping options. We only stayed two nights, but the house was wonderful for our family.

Very nice and comfortable home. Met our needs and was in a great location. Big yard that our small dogs enjoyed. Neighborhood was very quiet and we enjoyed daily walks throughout. Our son just moved to Charlotte so when we come again we would definitely stay here again.
