My husband and I stayed at Zero George for his birthday weekend in November and it was the epitome of southern charm. The intimate setting allows for privacy and luxury at the same time. The staff were amazing and very helpful. I was surprised with how big the rooms were too. We also ate at the Zero George restaurant and I can't say enough good things about it too. The food was fun, interesting and delicious. Really this place is a must for anyone looking looking for an authentic Charleston experience.

Zero George is an utterly charming property that really reflects the beauty and character of old Charleston. As comfortable as it is gorgeous, the stunning space is matched by a warm, welcoming staff. A true pleasure!

Perhaps the best way to describe it is you feel as though you are taken back in time and yet you are amongst exceptional accommodations in the heart of historic Charleston! Unmatched! The buttermilk muffins and fresh miniature quiches for breakfast were my favorite along with the fresh berries... Don't think twice about it, stay at the Zero George and fall in love. Complimentary bicycles are great, and the courtyard has lovely grapefruit trees and seating amongst the most adorable garden.

We thoroughly enjoyed this historically authentic, yet beautifully preserved, boutique hotel. Multiple antique buildings all facing an inner courtyard creates this special, private atmosphere just a short walk to all that Charleston has to offer. There are so many porches and cozy spots to have a drink or eat or read. The staff is fantastic, the complimentary breakfast and evening wine and cheese is top notch. We took advantage of their bicycles to explore all over the city on a gorgeous fall morning.

Zero George Street is a lovely 16 room boutique hotel located right off of East Bay St. The location is private but convenient to all the downtown attractions. The hotel consists of 3 buildings around a courtyard. The restaurant is a hidden gem. We were not planning on eating there but we ended up getting in late Sunday night and decided to give it a try. It was a 5 course tasting menu for $135 and it included paired wines. The food was spectacular and our waiter was very knowledgeable and personable. I would highly recommend dinner here. Our room was a king and the bed and pillows were luxurious. We each had bathrobes and slippers, nightly turndown with chocolates and jugs of fresh water. Malin +Goetz bath products and there were ear plugs and a sound machine. Breakfast was wonderful. It was a great spread for a continental breakfast. Fresh biscuits- ham and cheese but try the cinnamon!! Hard boiled eggs, smoked salmon, prosciutto, yogurt, house made granola, fresh juices and a Miele coffee maker that made the most awesome double lattes. There were bikes with locks to use as well. Great location for runners as it is a short run to get to entrance to the bridge! Service was great! Everyone was friendly and helpful. You will enjoy a glass of sparkling wine on arrival. We can’t wait to go back!

Spent a night at Zero George with my wife on an impromptu trip for her birthday. And wished that we had planned an entire weekend. The veranda room was perfect. The porch was the perfect spot to sit with a glass of wine and a desert from the small but very charming restaurant. The staff was courteous and very insightful. I will definitely go back and enjoy at least two nights. This is a far different experience than one of the hotel chains. Very impressive.

we loved the warm and welcoming staff as well as the location. Zero George is on the cusp of the historic district and easy walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. they have really thought of every detail for their guests. a highlight was the cooking class with the chef and the lovely wine served at happy hour. we had a marvelous time and would stay at Zero George again.

The facility, staff and services are the best we have experienced in many years of travel in Charleston, New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, France, Italy, Spain and many other countries. We were so wonderfully surprised, especially because we were celebrating our 58th anniversary. But it was obvious that the service and accommodations we experienced were the standard for every guest. The location, restaurant, rooms, courtyards made it an historic and very comfortable place. The food, amenities (breakfast and late PM complementary wine and cheese). Charm, friendliness, relaxation and happiness are the experience.

Charleston offers a wide range of hotel accommodations from the super luxe to the quaint bed and breakfast, and now there is the perfect combination of both. Zero George is the new best hotel in Charleston. It's offerings are understated but seamlessly plentiful. Upon our arrival, someone was there to whisk us directly to our room. The staff knows everyone coming in as there are only 16 rooms. After settling in, we made our way to the old "cookhouse" which is located centrally on the property where we found a quaint bar and restaurant offering complementary wine and cheese. Upon entering the cookhouse we were greeted by the chef who was preparing dinner in an open kitchen for the zero George restaurant that evening. This is also where complimentary breakfast is offered in the morning featuring "Callie's hot biscuits" The rooms are antebellum exquisite with furnished private balconies on first and second floors where you can enjoy an afternoon cocktail before heading to dinner or a morning breakfast. Amenities are endless, from bikes to beverages to beach and spa excursions. Ladies and gents, if your going to Charleston, you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't try this place.

We loved our trip to Zero George so much. The accommodations and grounds were picture-perfect beautiful. I've never stayed at such a beautiful place where the history felt so present. You feel like you're staying at your vacation home, with the most wonderful service and amenities! We cannot wait to come back.
