Hotel was conveniently located for my purposes. Not elegant, but the price was nice. The housekeeping staff was very respectfull and did a good job.

Air conditioner did not work well and a heating coil in the ceiling was emitting very high levels of heat. Seemed like a fir hazard.

Nice room there were 2 chairs and the bed was comfy and more outlets than anyone would ever need, which is wonderful.

I like this chain because the internet is reliable which is important for my work, the rooms are clean and the pillows and beds are comfortable. The location means you definitely have to drive to get to Charleston, but it is close to chain restaurants, gas stations and the highway. Coffee and tea were not available when I wanted it in the morning which was a bummer and the remote was too basic so I couldn't check the guide on the TV. Otherwise, it was fine.

Great motel if you get assessable room which has fridge and better beds and larger room

Hotel wasn't ready when we arrived, it says check in time after 3pm we were there till 4pm and room smell bad also have to keep asking for towels and toilet tissues.

When visiting I normally stay at another hotel, but for the dates I wanted they didn't have a non-smoking room available. I saw this place was listed as 100 smoke free, which was great. The price was reasonable, and the updated rooms were nice considering the price. The one surprise was to see on occasion a cockroach or two running around in the bathroom area when you turn on the light. It was just me, and I don't get freaked out by a couple bugs, but I can see this as being an issue for many others that should be resolved by the hotel. If it's in one room, I'm sure it's in more. Ultimately, I would stay again knowing this was fixed.

Price was low and location was easy on and off freeway with shopping and food close by. The area felt a little sketchy but the room was fine for the price. Probably would spend a few extra bucks next time to be closer to downtown Charleston.

Was awesome place, very clean new and big.defiantly will use again..close to food also

We weren't expecting anything plush, but were hoping for a little nicer than what we found. Nothing looked dirty, but there was a cigarette burn in one of the sheets, and both rooms smelled of cigarettes, despite the fact that it proclaimed itself a smoke-free hotel. One of the rooms reeked heavily of cigarettes. We would have asked for different rooms, but the hotel was booked solid. As soon as I walked into the office to check in, I saw a sign saying this was a smoke-free hotel, yet the office smelled heavily of smoke. The next morning when I checked out, I discovered why. One of the hotel workers was smoking right outside the door of the office! Mattresses were not firm. Bathrooms tiny. Tub drained very slowly. Ran out of toilet paper.

The rooms are newly renovated, comfortable, and very affordable. I would definitely stay here again.

Easy reservations from restaurant when we decided not to try a long drive home at night. Comfortable and clean but a little noisy on Ashley-Phosphate.

Good hotel for a one night stop if you need a place to sleep. Room is basic but clean and all appliances worked. Front desk was friendly. They let you check in by 2 pm and you don't have to check out till 12 pm which I think is pretty awesome. Oh it is also a 2 story building with stairs so if you have someone who can't walk up stairs you might want to keep that in mind and request a 1st floor room. If you arrive late at night and need something to eat there is a Wendy's and Denny's right next door. We had no complaints.

It was just a room. Nothing special, nothing terrible. A place to sleep.

For the price of the hotel I was really shock with the interior and cleanliness

I had a GREAT stay at the red roof inn in Charleston, SC. I visit the area a lot and now I definitely will not be staying anywhere else. The room was very nice and exceeded my expectations. What I really love about the inn is the fact that pets stay free no matter what!!!! I am truly over satisfied.

no frills basic motel, clean and tidy but wireless was spotty

I reserved a room that included a micro wave and a refrigerator, there was a reason I wanted those amenities . It was a guaranteed reservation, that was NOT honored! I got a regular double room, that didn't even have a hair dryer! The room was okay, floor could have been cleaner ( our feet got dirty walking barefoot on it) There was no working ice machine, we had to go out and buy an ice chest and ice! Not things we wanted to buy, and wouldn't have needed if we had gotten the room we reserved! Not very happy with the reservation!

The room was adequate but the supplies was sparse. There was less than a half a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. Very inadequate.

The room was impeccable: large sized rooms; comfy beds; nice updated furniture; very good wi-fi. I have spent 75+ days at hotels around the country this year and i can safely say this hotel was a great deal for a casual/work traveler. I would stay again at this hotel.
