The staff was very nice, the drinks and breakfast were appreciated. The building needs some updating.
The property was great!
Big hotel with huge 9-story interior hall and glass elevators, a bit older but well kept, great breakfast.
The room stink like a wet animal. Staff was very rude. Th hotel had to alter my accommodation.
I enjoyed the location and the breakfast. The rooms have a smell when you enter the room. Not sure if it's in the carpets or where it comes from. The walls are very thin. I could listen to the conversations of those in the room next door and the hallways. Request to stay away from the elevator. We had a roach in our room. We trapped it in a cup and left that as our tip for housekeeping. The manager comped us half a night's fee.
The Embassy Suites made our stay in Charleston perfectly comfortable and safe. We were very happy with the accommodations and amenities.
I really liked the breakfast buffet and complimentary snacks in the evening.
Place is run down. Rooms probably 10 years outside it’s last renovation. Bathroom was full of mold. TV was was undersized. Couch was completely flat and springs were dead. Everything was tired.
If you want a good night to you and your family, this is the right place..
I booked this hotel because it advertised an “airport shuttle bus” - there was a dozen hotels close by with shuttle buses - but embassy suites only runs its “airport shuttle bus” until 2pm I ended up wasting 30 mins at the airport upon arrival and then spending $15 on a cab When I called hotel the dude was kind of “tough, all I can do is give you a cab phone number” and refused to reimburse me the $15 2. Evening happy hour is ugly (potato chips and salsa was ok but long long lines for a margarita takes joy out of the “happy” 3. No room service - no kitchens Other than shuttle bus , nice stay
We enjoyed the hotel lobby. The rooms need to be upgraded. Our room had a smell to it, maybe due to being closed up, but it was very unpleasant. We did mention it and they came up to spray, but the smell was back within minutes. We also did not get breakfast for the price of the room, this was very frustrating for us. We were told 7:30 to 10:30. We paid a lot for a one night stay and did not enjoy the experience as I felt we should have.
Paid extra for early check in...and
HOTEL WAS OUTDATED VERY NOISEY AND NOT THE CLEANEST I'VE EVER STAYED AT
Great experience
Breakfast was mediocre. Drinks and staff were great at night receptions
The hotel looks old, with carpets and towels and linens ripped . Really needs a good update!!!!
The guests were out of control. Horribly behaved children were roughhousing in the pool and unattended by adults. Staff was notified of the situation but no response. Had to remove our small children from the pool due to safety concerns every night out our trip. A group of 7 adolescents were literally running the halls on our floor and were very loud. Called front desk twice requesting that the situation be handled. Noise continued until we engaged and confronted the kids and physically had to go downstairs to the desk to complain, only then did the security guard make an appearance on our floor. We frequent Embassy Suites and it is always our first choice when choosing a hotel. We were very disappointed in the staff's lack of ability/disinterest in controllong the environment. We will never stay at this location again!

Dear Gerald, While it is great to learn that our location and breakfast were enjoyed, I regret that not much else stood out as positive. I apologize that an odor was detected and that noise pollution interrupted the comfort of your stay. More so, we take any issues of pests extremely seriously. We contract with a vendor for preventative pest control monthly, as well as have random inspections provided by the Health Department on a semi-annual basis, to ensure pest control, as well as overall cleanliness standards, are maintained. I hope this has restored your faith in us. We appreciate your business and hope you'll choose us again. Sincerely, Joshua Rubio General Manager
