Stayed here in past which drew us back due to location and price. Loved the room (except noisy heater unit), and the three berry tart/yogurt with coffee at breakfast was awesome. Parking across the street plus 82 Queen and Husk restaurants next door are super. SNOB for lunch was also great. Must take tour to Ft. Sumter.

Pleasantly surprised by how close the hotel was to everything. It's half a block from King street, the main shopping street. Husk and Poogan's Porch, two places we had made reservations to eat and heard a lot about, were right next door to the hotel. They have a wine and cheese hour everyday from 5-6, and you can pick from one of 6 choices for a breakfast that they will deliver to your room or the courtyard (all complimentary). One caution is there is no elevator, so access to the 2-3 floors may be difficult for elderly or people with certain disabilities. The staff was very pleasant, allowing us to leave our bags there both before and after our stay was over. Very charming and a good deal.

Nice experience staying at the hotel. Rooms clean and in working order. The bed was comfortable and sturdy. Service was good and personnel willing to attend your request. Breakfast was adequate. Adjacent to hotel there are three restaurants with tasty southern cooking and good wine selection. Streets around hotel you find boutiques, clothing stores, French coffee shop, restaurants. Parking across the street from the hotel. We took "Walking Tour" of Charleston, Tour to Fort Sumter and Tour to a Plantation.

We enjoyed the Elliott House. The Inn is very charming and the location is great for walking to everything!!

Garbage pick-up every day between 4 and 6 am. Extremely noisy. It WILL wake you up

The Hotel is totally run down. Gloomy, dirty. We were shown a second room but had to leave anyhow. Could not possibly spend the night there. We left.

The staff (all)were amazing.We.already recommend the place

Nice place to stay. Would recommend. No mini fridge or microwave which was a bummer

This hotel was perfect for staying in the city cost wise. Breakfast delivered to our room each morning was very convienent while getting ready to take on the city. In walking distance to shops, tours and next door to two of the best places to eat in town Husk and Poogans porch. There was a small bug problem in our room but besides that it was great.

On arrival found the the gentleman at the front desk very friendly and helpful. Explained all the amenities. Got to the room and was very clean and well appointed. The king sized bed was huge and very comfortable. The only problem was the shower....it required a couple of tries and help from the front desk to operate the nobs. After having the operation was explained, no problem. There are days I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer. All in all I would recommend this location and intend to visit Charleston again and stay at the Elliott House Inn.

The most adorable room with a lovely 4 poster bed! Bathroom was modernized and tasteful. I felt like I was in a bedroom in a home. Location is phenomenal easy walking to everywhere. Awesome restaurants right next door, Husk and Poogans Porch. Parking garage across the street was super convenient allowing easy access to your car. Breakfast was nice and served in your room or in the courtyard. Wine and cheese reception at 5! Staff was great, will return here for sure.

The Elliot House is located directly across from a parking garage and within walking distance to all the sights. We arrived to an upgraded room that was very comfortable, stylish, and clean. The Whiskey bar at Tusk is definitely worth a visit.

My husband and I were visiting Charleston right before Christmas and had a great time! We used to live in the area and know the area pretty well as well as the hotels/restaurants. This hotel overall was nice and had a great historic and authentic Charleston feel. It feels a little "tight" everywhere, but that's expected from an original structure. The rooms were a bit more on the modern/cheap hotel side. That's where it was kind of lacking. But the staff was great!

This was a return trip to the Elliott House Inn for us & we chose it due to its location to our destination & the good experience from the year before. The room was just right for us & having breakfast & the newspaper delivered to our door the next morning at the time we requested was awesome.

Location is great on Queen Street. The courtyard is pretty, and they will bring a simple breakfast to you either in your room or the courtyard. Our room was smallish with a queen size bed, but it was clean and fine. The people who work there are nice.

We love the Elliott House Inn! We have stayed here a few times. It is conveniently located to the Market, King Street ,The Battery, and great places to eat! We parked our car in the secured parking garage and walked. We did take a buggy ride and learn more of the history of Charleston. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very comfortable. The free continental breakfast was a treat for me because I had it delivered to my room, but they will serve it in the courtyard also. The only recommendation I have is to place a small refrigerator in the room. We will definitely return to the Elliott House Inn.

Room was very nice. Well decorated, clean and comfortable. Perfect location to fine dining and walking distance to shops, market and battery. Breakfast delivered to your room was nice. Could have been a little more to eat. Only other minor improvement item would be a small refrigerator in the room. Overal very nice and would like to visit again soon.

We loved staying at the Elliott House Inn! The area was wonderful and we could walk everywhere we needed to go! The staff was great and one member was a history teacher and drew on a map for us all the great locations. Wine and cheese was a nice touch at night and breakfast in bed was wonderful. We would love to stay here again and is a great place to stay in beautiful, historic Charleston!

Arrived early but room was already cleaned so was given immediate access. Reasonably priced parking right across the street. Delightful "ole South" ambience--room had true hardwood floors and was tastefully decorated. A/C unit was right next to bed and a little on the noisy side but not disruptive. Had continental breakfast of your choice delivered to the room. Nice courtyard area with hot tub. Will be back next year. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!

The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Charleston with plenty of options for restaurants, bars, shopping and sightseeing. The front desk was very helpful and it was enjoyable to have the complimentary breakfast in the terrace each morning.
