Cute place and great location

We had a fantastic stay! A cute house with a rich history and a convenient location, coffee or a bite to eat is within walking distance. Experiencing the tapping season and enjoying maple treats was a unique and delicious experience! We weren’t too far from local vineyards to visit during the ice wine festival. An enjoyable location and visit.

Beautiful accommodating home

This home is beautiful and in a perfect location just off Chardon’s downtown square. The home has a lot to offer and had tons of toys and games for the younger children we had come visit us during our stay. Which kept them busy and having fun. We were a little nervous with the toddlers as there are lots of unique and beautiful decor within reach of little ones but thankfully we didn’t have any mishaps

Family visit to Chardon

The Canfield House was perfect for us because of its location just 5min from family we were there to visit as well as being so close to the sqare. It was very clean and there were plenty of local information phamplets provided. It’s good to note there is only one fill bathroom that is shared jack and jill style between the bedrooms, that worked for us, but others might find it awkward.

Canfield House

We were visiting Chardon for a family reunion. We loved the Canfield House. It was perfect for all our needs. Michael and Lisa are excellent communicators and truly have thought of everything to make sure our stay felt just like home.

Wonderful Stay

We loved our stay at the Canfield House! The house was lovely, a great location, and perfect for our group. Mike and Lisa are wonderful hosts! We appreciated the kind note and goodies that they left for us—including cookies and little toiletry gift bags for each of us. Definitely would stay again if in the area.

Lovely house

Everything was lovely. The house is clean and much bigger than I expected. It was nicely decorated. We came from different areas and there is plenty of parking. We mostly used the house to sleep but a couple in our party partook of some of the games and a couple others the selection of movies. My only complaint is that after paying a cleaning fee, you have to strip the beds and take the linens down to the basement and take out the garbage before you leave. This is my first Vrbo so maybe it is standard practice but it made checking out a little more onerous. I wouldn't take away a star for it though because everything else was so great. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely Property - Fun Stay

Enjoyed walking for dinner on the square, driving out to the covered bridges, Geneva on the Lake, and Ashtabula. Excellent communication with hosts and treats on arrival. Would definitely return if in the area.

Chardon's BEST!!

We could not be more pleased with our stay at the Canfield House, the owners literally did not miss one detail. Not one - it has everything you could want for a wonderful stay. The house itself is fantastic and much bigger than we had expected. It was cozy, comfortable and clean to a fault. We were simply amazed by the attention to detail - from the wonderful selection of coffees and teas to the helpful information about the area. This house has it all. The house is also just a few feet from Chardon square, shops and great restaurants. I would give this house and this house 10 STARS. If you are looking for a place to stay in Chardon, look no further - Canfield House and its Hosts is the best of best. We will without a doubt be back!!!

Family Thanksgiving

We were in town to visit our family for Thanksgiving and needed a place to stay for a couple days. The place was a perfect fit for the four of us. We had everything we needed and it was an easy process. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Fantastic stay

Everything was so well thought out! Our kids enjoyed the games, toys and books and my husband and I enjoyed everything else! The space was very clean with a lot of amenities and things to do. We appreciated all the lighting and night lights, which helped our toddler feel better about staying somewhere new. The welcome basket was unexpected but so nice! We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The owners were very accommodating, and left us some great treats for our check-in. Also, we stayed during Thanksgiving, and the owners dropped by an electronic turkey roaster for us to you, which work out perfectly. Our young daughters loved the kid's room, which had a toy chest full of fun toys. I would stay here again.

Beyond adorable!

Such a cute getaway! The house was charming, well decorated, fully stocked kitchen, a welcome gift, and too many amenities to list. Host was receptive and answered all of my questions. Will definitely stay in this house again when we visit family in Chardon!

Welcoming Home

This was a perfect home for us to stay when we biked the Maple Highlands Trail. Chardon is a charming town with great places to eat and a beautiful town square. The place was clean and the hosts were gracious.

Historic Property

This was our 2nd time staying at the Canfield House. We just love the location! We can be close to our family that live locally and walk to the Chardon Square. The house has everything you will need for your stay. The hosts are prompt to respond if you need anything. This is so much nicer than a hotel and well worth the price.

Wonderstruck Music Festival

In town for a music festival and couldn’t have been a better choice to stay. A quick walk to the town square for delicious restaurants, farmers market, coffee and even a car show the weekend we were there. So cozy! Kids had a great time keeping occupied with the pool table and games. The sheets were soooo soft. Super clean. Everything was perfect.
