Excellent hotel. Very clean. Nice amenities. Stavi and Rena make for great and knowledge bartenders are that are very friendly! I highly recommend this hotel. It’s close to the water, stores, and cultural experience. You will greatly enjoy your experience here as I have! The views are amazing and your never a far walk from a cultural experience in Crete!
Absolutely wonder bar. Rena and Stavi were engaging and quick when you ordered. Very welcoming and a very pleasant experience. Can’t wait to come back and talk to them again. Remembered me from when I visited last and were just as excellent at serving me as I’ve ever been served at a bar.
The Kydon is truly The Heart Hotel. We booked for 3 nights to experience Chania’s restaurant and night life without the need to drive back to the nearby village in which we were spending a month, and it was an amazing experience. From Ellie at the front desk to Jason the concierge to Nikos and Kiki in the dining room, our stay was akin to being with family. The room was well-appointed and overlooked the Old Agora, and the hotel itself is perfectly located to enjoy all of Chania on foot in a relaxed and easy manner. Breakfast is set in a beautiful, bright room, and the buffet has something for everyone presented in a delightful manner. We chose to eat in the hotel the first night, because we arrived fairly late and on the last night because of a driving rainstorm outside. The dining room was a bit bright for us, so we ate in the bar area with candlelight and a beautiful view of the Old Agora and downtown Chania. We actually returned to have lunch two more times during our month-long stay in the area and were met each time with hugs, hand shakes and happy welcomes from the 4 people previously mentioned above. We would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat and will look forward to returning in the future.
We arrived at this hotel purely by accident, our Tui flight home had to do an emergency landing at Chania Airport, so we stayed overnight at this lovely hotel. I stayed in a triple room with 2 other sisters, the room was a little bright and clean with a big flat screen TV on the wall, tea, coffee kettle facilities, guest slippers and robes which was a nice touch a tad small with a double bed and single bed, the bathroom is very small with a sit down bath shower which we found interesting. Not sure if they have wider doors for anyone with a wheelchair or disability for entering and using the bathroom in this hotel. There is a patio area but very noisy during the night and day, I thought they had double glazed patio doors for the noise which kept us awake all night. The hotel is nestled in a busy mid town area so there is traffic, shops, apartment building all around it. Breakfast was delicious I had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast orange juice and coffee, there is a nice buffet section for you to choose from if you don't want a hot breakfast. Due ton our flight delay we stayed for lunch which was served at 1pm again the lunch was outstanding I had a Greek salad with chicken which was very filling, the waiting staff speak English and we're very attentative and pleasant with you. Overall I would definitely stay here again if I'm visiting Crete.
Stayed couple of days in winter. Helpfull and friendly staff! Clean and nice decorated. Location Amazing if you prefer to stay in-town. Walking distance from Old town and Chania harbour. Highly recommended!
Very nice, clean and comfortable hotel in the heart of the city. Rooms comfortable, nice polite staff, very nice breakfast. They offer free closed parking and by foot you can go everywhere. Highly recommended
Our best in Chania. And we will come back every time we are in Chania. Good service, personal and in the middle of the town. Good food and drinks. The room are beautiful and clean. And we also like that we can park our car in the backyard ;)
Hotel was beautiful in the dining area and lobby was pretty as well. Breakfast buffet was great with quite a large selection to choose from. Room was okay as the room and bathroom was quite tight. Bathroom appears to have been recently remodeled which they did a pretty good job. Also located in the town center of chania and is directly located cross from the market place and many restaurants and cafes!
Great location and super friendly staff who were always very attentive. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good. I would stay here again if I was traveling to Chania.Short walk to old Venetian Harbour and across the street from the indoor farmers market.
Short notice on a large party but the staff was quick and very respectful. Rooms and restaurant in the hotel were fantastic. Would stay again without a doubt. The only small issue most of us had was not being able to control the temperature.
