+ very friendly and helpful staff + beautiful big rooms + nice SPA to relax, OK Gym + good location + great ambience (lobby, entrance, restaurant, bar etc) - a proper pool for swimming is missing All in all I really enjoyed my stay at Urso. Thanks!

I have stayed at URSO 3 times and it has been outstanding each and every time. The building is elegant and understated. The location is convenient but not overwhelming as being on the main plaza for example. From my first visit, it became my preferred address in Madrid. Lovely quiet bar, I didn't try the new resto. Maybe next time. Service is gracious and friendly. Truly a favorite.

Our first stop in Spain was in Madrid and this hotel was perfect start. Lovely accommodations for family of 3, wonderful breakfast, well situated in the city. Helpful and gracious staff. Loved the corner room with windows out to the city.

My First ever experience at URSU SPA .....handy spot and impeccable set up.....in this cute palace from last century, with great bar, and swanky rooms! Breakfast is the most completed choices to all nationalities.....young staff is well trained. Front desk really rocks

A beautiful and welcoming hotel in a lovely, very central (and not tourist trap) neighborhood in Madrid. The staff (especially Juan Antonio) is extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The spa facilities were the perfect relief from the summer heat during our mid day siestas. We cannot think of anywhere else we would rather stay. I highly recommend the extra cost for a junior suite - it offered all the space and comfort of a luxury studio apartment.

Great hotel, elegantly decorated, with an old elevator that adds charm. The spa area is worth enjoying the the massages (hot lava shell with Beatrix) I had there was amazing (worth it even if not staying at the hotel)! Breakfast had a good variety of products, tasty, and in a nice room with glass ceiling. Would stay again!

This really an excellent hotel in all respects. Well located in central Madrid, beautiful design. Rooms are excellent. Spa is very attractive. Lobby perfect for having a drink, but equally for a brief meeting. The service was impeccable. I would say I would rate the bed for comfort slightly below 5 stars) a bit firm for my taste, and the gym next to spa has very good machines but is small. These are minor quibbles. I strongly recommend this hotel.

stayed there for 3 nights. Lovely lobby and dining area. And their spa has the nicest small pool i've seen. It's got jets all over. Its got a steam room as well. After the steam, jump into the pool, so refreshing. Its a couple of steps away from the Barcelo bar, 2 small blocks from Calle Hortaleza, that if you walk along it, it would take you to Grand Via and the further down, Plaza del sol. Along Hortaleza has a lot of bars, restaurants, stores. And I mean a lot. Across the street from the hotel is a market cafe, that's open 24 hrs, if you feel like grabbing a sandwich, drinks, cofee, just cross the street and you're there. The room has tall ceilings, and the glass door opens up to a small balcony. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. From the bell boys, the reception and the dining area. Very fluent in English as well, so no issues there. The hotel is very clean, and smells really nice. A lovely stay!

We loved Urso from the moment we walked in and welcomed by the front desk team. Everything is perfect, service, rooms, staff, location. Sad to leave. You must go to the downstairs restaurant that is next door / attached. Great small plates. Thank you guys.

My friend and I stayed at Urso for 4 days while in Madrid. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is accommodating, and the room is luxurious. We had a view of an alley, but just chose not to look out the window. It's a little bit of a walk to many of the things you want to see, but the staff gives great directions in many different languages and you can get to, say The Prado, in a 20 minute walk. I didn't take advantage of either the spa or the gym, but toured both and they looked lovely. My friend went to the gym and she said it was small, but well-outfitted and had everything needed to get in a good workout. Honestly, walking through the city was all the workout I could stand. We had the full breakfast and it was delicious, but expensive - over 25 euro per person! They told us, but neither one of us remembered. Our last morning there we had cafe con leche and croissants in the lobby and that was also quite lovely and filling for about 15 euro per person. You can certainly find a cheaper breakfast, but the hotel is so nice, you won't mind lingering there. Every night they turn down the bed, put a cloth on the floor so you don't put your dirty feet in the sheets, leave you a bottle of water and little sheet of paper with a suggestion for you to do the next day - complete with high and low temperatures! Although everyone was super nice, we need to give special kudos to Nikolas, who was patient, kind, gave us great dinner recommendations, excellent directions, and lots of insider tips. He really made our trip special! My friend LOVES Nikolas!
