The last time we stayed at the Hyatt in Thessaloniki was probably 10 years ago. I've always loved it and recommended it to people. I was a bit disappointed on our arrival this year to see that it had not been updated in so many years. The furniture is tired and worn out. Hallways and carpets are also old and faded. Bathroom needs an update. Everything else is great. The staff is wonderful and the pool area is amazing! The outside of building as well as the grounds are beautiful and look great.
Fabulous hotel very clean ideally located with great views. Fantastic pool area. The service was phenomenal. And I would come back if I was visiting there again. Breakfast was great to and full of great options only needed beans lol. Rooms are fabulous too.
Staying at the Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki was our final destination on our Greece’s trip . And after a week of lots of sightseeing and walking, it did not disappoint. It was a great place to relax and do a whole lot of nothing. The grounds are so well kept that we didn't encounter any insects or mosquitos, which meant no mosquito bites! The food was excellent. Nice hotel with competent and polite staff. The hotel is very big and very clean. The room was really nice and spacious and they were replenished daily In hotel is big and very nice swimming pool, and very beautiful old garden. Pool staff are very friendly as was the concierge and reception staff. We ate dinner in main restaurant, food was excellent. Food in restaurant in garden was also very delicious and the staff was excellent here too. Thank you!
Stayed for four days, our room was very nice, spacious with a comfortable bed and an enormous bathroom. The facilities are good and the pool is excellent. Pool staff are very friendly as was the concierge and reception staff. It is very close to the airport and ideally situated for a visit to Halkidiki. we did however have an issue whilst we were there, having left our room at 9am we returned at six hoping for a shower and to keep our dinner reservations which we had made at a restaurant we particularly liked. On arrival back to our room we discovered it was as we had left it that morning. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned no fresh towels and the bed was unmade. I called reception and they said they would send someone. As time was ticking I ventured up the corridor and found a chamber maid. She said our room was not on her list but she would get someone. At that point a supervisor was passing our room. I asked why it hadn't been serviced and she told me to "have patience" the hotel was full and they were very busy. As we have stayed in hotels all over the world, some good, some not so good, we have never returned at the end of the day to find our room not cleaned. I reported my displeasure to the hotel reception. The lady was very kind and said she understood we were upset. As we missed our dinner reservation she arranged for us to have dinner in the hotel. She dealt with our complaint very efficiently. I can only assume that the supervisor was having an off day!! Having said all that its a great hotel and these things happen. We would certainly visit again.
I stay here every summer for 1 or 2 nights. The hotel and especially the pool area are exquisite. What sets this place apart from many other hotels in the area is, besides the fact that it is one of the only 5 star hotels. The staff is truly some of the friendliest and accommodating I have ever come across. I don't think you pass by one staff member without each and everyone of them saying hello, good morning or something else to that effect. And always with a smile!!! Keep up the stellar customer service.
We were twice in three weeks in this hotel in different (standard) rooms. Rooms are nice, spacious and comfortable. Bathroom is also nice and spacious. Service is excellent, from front desk till every waiter and waitress. The breakfast is very good. The negative note I am giving is connected to the furniture. Besides outdated design (not so disturbing), the biggest problem is extremely soft bed (the same was in both rooms!). My wife and I were shaking and swaying from side to side the whole night. Hotel is principally place where you go to sleep on. If the bed is uncomfortable, then all other good sides are less important. If you wake up tired and exhausted, then nice hotel becomes nightmare. We would gladly go there again, but after they put new beds!
Absolutely amazing stay at the Hyatt Thessaloniki. Received an upgrade to an executive suite. Staff was very welcoming and pleasant in their interactions . I will come back for sue and will deflinetely recommend without hesitation!!
I came twice to this hotel, the first time ina standard room, the next time in a really nice and large suite. it is close to the airport, but still really quiet The hotel is really nice, and I would definitely visit it again Food was great from the breakfast to the evening restaurant. The only bad point is the temperature of the swimming pools which is freezing.... brrr
The hotel facilities and the rooms are very good. The bed for the child which the hotel provides for kids up to the age of 13 is far too small and uncomfortable. Its more like a camp bed not a proper bed . The hotel distance from the town was such that was too expensive to take a taxi every day (about 38 Euros to go to town and return). The hotel have free bus service but is not adequate. There are about 5 small mini bus style taking you to the town which proved to be not enough as most of the times were full whilst the last bus was leaving from town at 9.30. Therefore a family cannot really go to town and come back late! However the hotel provides buses non stop and at any time for people that goes to casino! Put this together with the fact that there is no night entertainment and you are bound to have a boring night if you "stay in". And this can get worse as soft drinks and water cost between 2.50 - 3.00 Euros each. Food prices are also high compared to the quality given. A plate of "souvlaki" for example in the pool bar costs 21 Euros. The swimming pool is not as good as it looks. For a 5 star hotel I would have expected the water to be of a better quality. The water was more like river water rather than a swimming pool water!! The indoors swimming pool to my surprise was much better with salty water like you are swimming in the open sea. Also the Jacuzzi, steam bath and sauna are very good and are included in the price. The staff are always very polite and helpful. The hotel has very strong wi fi and lots of plugs for your computer. The rooms also include comfortable desks with office lights making them ideal for business purposes.
Staying at the Hyatt is always a pleasure. The staff and the facility is always excellent. The staff is friendly and courteous. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. We usually stay at the Hyatt during our stay in Thessaloniki, Greece. I highly recommend this Hotel to any discriminating traveler, they will meet and exceed expectations.
