We checked in on this hotel for 3days and it was fine until one day before our check out we asked the receptionist to arrange shuttle going to airport as they said to their website they can do that. We checked out the next morning it was very early like 5:30am everything was settled and asked if the shuttle already prepared she gave me irritated look and asked me “what are you talking about” she explained that she wasnt informed about it. The lady rang someone to pick up us. We found out it was a taxi driver, it’s already 6am still no taxi We already pissed off coz we started to worry about our flight we might missed it we waited for another half hour taxi driver arrived and before we get in the taxi driver told us we have to pay for extra 100 pesos. We got to airport and we missed the flight. I would say don’t make any booking for this hotel they gonna offer you good things but leaving you with full of disappointments DONT Believe of what they saying by their website it’s crap in person. I can certify of what I said was based on my experienced.
After reading other reviews about this place I was surprised. We went to Alta and found it good. Planes are not that noisy at all and fly in and out the airport 3 at a time so its every hour or so. the pool is nice, the room we had was really good, food maybe average, entertainment was nice so I don't quite know what other reviews are about. My only disappointment was that I ordered their airport pick up service, as I'm disabled, and it never came and I never got an apology regarding it.
but the airplanes are one of the best things of the resort.(although they should warn the guest for this!) the staff walks up to you with a cellphone in hand.bartender is more occupied with singing than serving you a beer. we spent four nights over here and had 4 different rooms due to the loudness of the functionrooms, not working aircon and other reasons. the pools are decent, one of the the pools is guarded by trees which leave some shades. mangrove path is ok but 50 meters long. breakfast is not really for their mostly caucasian and korean guests. prices are the same as in 5 stars hotels for the drinks. if my father did not paid for this resort i would have stayed here 1 night and then left screaming!
The room was not that clean as we expected and we are very disappointed with the food for it was not served on time and it was very pricey. There was also no bidet hose in the comfort room. Nobody assisted us upon arrival at the resort and we have to carry all of our luggage going to the front desk to have our check in and the room service arrives very late as we requested something. The television in the room was functioning but only provides poor reception.
We spent only 1 night in this hotel on December 2016 and we received the WORST SERVICE in our lives. When we arrived into our bedrrom, there were 5 hotel workers partying inside this bedroom (eating, singing, etc). We asked for a room change and that took more than 1 hour as the hotel was full. When we finally had the final room and we went to have dinner, the restaurant had just closed. The next morning, we got up and went to the toilet but it was not working and there was water everywhere. We informed the recepcionist and had given time to them in order to fix it. After more than 1 hour nobody had came to solve the problem so we had to use the public toilets they have close to the restaurant and after all these horrible service we asked for a refund. Ms Chystel, the boss on the reception, made us a formal letter (signed and stamped by the hotel) where she was agreeing to make a refund of the 50% of the reservation. Today, after 11 months and more than 30 emails and 3 phone calls, we are still waiting to receive this refund, even she had answered us 2 emails and said they were proceeding with it. The treatment we have received was horrible and it is incredible that after 11 months I am still trying to get my refund, even having their word by a formal letter. If they do not do anything to solve it inmediatly, we will proceed with a formal claim on this issue.
My partner and I chose Alta Cebu as a place to base ourselves while exploring the local area, and we weren't disappointed. The place is very well looked after, has a lot of home comforts and everything you'll need to unwind after spending hours or days exploring the chaotic City streets and lush, humid jungle of the provinces. Personal favourites of mine were the pool, which has a band playing every evening, very atmospheric - accompanied by a good bar stocking something to anyone's tastes. The place feels like you're very much one with nature, with an impressive range of flora filling the spaces between the rooms, you almost feel like you're sheltering in the woods (You're not). The food offered is is very diverse, with the restaurant serving food to fit local and international palettes, all of which is of reasonable quality. The location didn't prove to be any concern, you are on Mactan island as opposed to Cebu City proper, but you can catch a Jeepney just outside that will get you to all necessary travel links, I never personally had any trouble getting to the City or catching buses to other cities. All transport is relatively cheap as well. Lastly, I'd like to give my compliments to the owner who seemed like he was putting effort into making his guests comfortable and ensuring their trip was pleasant. To summarise, I'd certainly come here again. It's quiet and out of the way plus it feels like you're more one with nature than more central city locations. The facilities are very good and off of peak season you might feel you have the place to yourself, which is always nice.
Well it ok I would never come back here it over price and it not worth it .The staff ok but there noting to bring me back the ,there noting to reach out a grab u .There no night life here there no entertainment what so ever.the food ok the price for food and drink are reasonable the bar area is not that great.It not the best place to stay there a lot of work to this place that need to be done .The room are just ok the bed are the worse.
We stayed here after flying into Cebu , wanted to be near the sea , sorry that's a joke , that was my mistake , 40 cab ride away ! Please don't get fooled by the dubious glamorous photos of this place , there were some generous angles with some of the images on various booking sites ! Booked for 3 nights , checked our first room , would stay in it , paid extra to up grade to best in hotel . First impressions , toilet lid fell off , curtains wouldn't open , very noisy air con , bed ok But whole place looked like 70's holiday hotel in Spain . Checked out after two nights , went to a beach hotel , relief!
Poor customer service more worried about selling tours and given súper expensive options for transportations than delivering a good customer service, to far away and not entertaining at all, food it's low quality and not vegan options
I chose to stay here because of it's green vast area. I love how they innovate the native filipino nipa hut. Too bad that you can't stay at the terrace too long because there are so many mosquitoes especially at night. Not a beachfront resort, but they private access to the mangroves. Food They offer buffet for breakfast. Nothing special, they have to improve the quality of the food they serve. Some servers are not attentive. During dinner, I ordered Crispy Pata and it was heaven at a very affordable price. Rooms It's big and air conditioning works great, but the water from the sink and shower smells awful. Pool It was big and up to 6ft deep. You can swim up to midnight 👍 Downside The resort is mostly jam packed because many companies chose to held here their company events. So, it's a bit noisy that ruins the relaxing vibes you wanted. Nearby Place It's around 10mins ride away from Lantaw Floating Restaurant (a must visit) and right next to it is the 10000 Roses. And just a tip when going to the airport, better to book a grab car because it's more cheaper (the hotel charges 475 for airport shuttle service) Overall experience It was a relaxing stay (despite the noise and the crowd), kudos to all your friendly front desk and house keeping staff. They are all smiles and very helpful.
