We booked a premium room which was lovely and spacious. The view was of the car park but also the stream and the mountains. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was especially nice with loads of choice. A kettle is repeatedly filled if you want hot water. This could be improved upon. Reception staff didn't go out of their way. We didn't really find out about the spa until we were leaving. Location is perfect. It's near enough to all the bars and restaurants but far enough away that you don't get any of the noise
My husband and I stayed at this hotel in March. The hotel was nice. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. However, the temperature control was not working and the room was very hot. We had to keep the window wide open in order to be comfortable.
Nice hotel, but no gym although it says so in their website. Well located, and a great breakfast to start up the day. Cosy rooms, a good bar to relax at the end of the day, and a walking distance from great restaurants.
Nice hotel but our room was far too hot even for January. We tried turning the heaters off didn't work, we tried turning the Zircon on too cool it down didn't work, we reported it to reception who said they would get Maintenance to look at it but they didn't do it while we were there & we had to sleep for 2 nights with our windows open on a ski holiday!! Another problem is the walls appear to have no sound proofing qualities as there was a family in the room next to our who at 11 at night were stamping around slamming doors and we could clearly hear their conversation plus the kids shouting. The food was good, service in the resturant was pleasant, the spa was ok if a little dated but we did not sleep well at this hotel.
We booked a suite in this hotel and it was a cute room with a lounge area and extra toilet downstairs and the bedroom and bathroom upstairs so it was very spacious. The only problem was that the bedroom was several degrees hotter than the downstairs room and we couldn't cool it down. We slept with the window open all night and it was still too hot, even though it cooled down to 6 degrees centigrade outside. The bed was actually very comfortable and the breakfast was fine. The room was also starting to look a bit old and could have done with an up date but all in all it would have been a good stay except for a bad night's sleep.
The hotel itself was nice: room a decent size, bed huge and I had a nice bath with loads of hot water. The building looks like it's been recently renovated and the location is handy for restaurants and shops in Vuelha. We had a nice breakfast in the morning, with a range of pastries, cereal, meat and yoghurt. The one big disappointment was dinner: we had booked half board thinking it would be convenient to eat at the hotel. The dining room lacked any atmosphere and dinner is just a buffet, most of which looked like it had been out for some time. I had overcooked fish with a lot of bones, and soggy vegetables. My husband did enjoy his gammon steak but the only bit of dinner I enjoyed was the pre-packaged ice cream, to which we helped ourselves from a freezer. Stay at the hotel, just go somewhere else for dinner - we went to Wolloomoolloo which was run by a friendly Australian and seemed good.
A pearl in the Aran valley. Small and busy village. Spacious clean and comfortable. Very friendly reception and staff. Dinner and breakfast offer wide selection, fresh and tasty. Highly recommended stay.
We were here during the Tour de France. It was fun to see some of the riders staying at the hotel. The room was very nice with good air conditioner. Everyone who worked here was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed sitting outside and having a drink at the bar. This is a good base for exploring this beautiful area.
We booked a premium room and enjoyed good view. Vielha is a lovely small Town/City with plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. All the people we met were welcoming and friendly.Breakfast and dinner at the Hotel was very good with a variety of food to eat At the bar there was a fixed price menu (15 euro) for lunch and all the drinks were reasonably priced (pint of beer 3.5 euro). We used the swimming pool and spa on one occasion and was charged 5 euro each. Not sure the charge for this is clearly shown in there Hotel Description on Melia.com. Nevertheless, a enjoyable stay and would return.
We prefer a PREMIUM room, it is good and we can enjoy a kettle for tea. The breakfast is an average one, as you arrive at 09.00the breakfast selection is rather poor. The coffe is horrible as well as as the NESQUICK!!! The wifi connecation is a poorest one, does not work, unbelievable for this hotel category and price. The room service is .... no comments. They are allowed to make your room at 16.00 and the quality is not good.
