we loved it, the service is outstanding and everything we wanted was made available to us, from valet for skis to daily help. Breakfast service was the best ever! Maria at breakfast was amazing, parking is plentiful and the overall service could not have been better. Highly recommended!!
Very good welcome and they parked the car for 22 euros per day . We originally booked a junior suite for five nights and were shown a horrible grey room and had to pay an upgrade for a decent suite with wooden type finishes, more traditional.even then I noticed the "wood" floors were laminate. It's great to have a sauna after skiing BUT you have to pay 40 euros per person - an absolute rip off and we didn't bother having spent 400 or so euros per day on our room ! Bed was comfortable and room spacious ,but the bathroom was always cold - no heating in there except and heated mirror !! Bar areas are very good but expensive - 18 euros for some hummous and a few tortilla chips . Would I go back? No,
We stayed for 4 nights to ski in Baqueira and stayed at the Val De Neu. Overall Baqueira was a great experience with very good slopes. We can also recommend Val De Neu. Good location close to the lift. Greetings from Norway
+ •Excellent service all along, in reception, in restaurants, in rooms. •Transfer of ski gear from our car to ski lockers by the gondola station. •Possibility to buy ski pass in hotel saved us queing time on Saturday morning when it is busiest. •Good restaurants in hotel. - •Having booked a full week’s stay and 8 months in advance I had hoped for a view from our room other than a back street and stone wall. •No mention on web site that pool area (SPA) is for over 16 only. Travelling with my two sons, 12 and 9, this was a disappointment. •SPA is overpriced for what you get. 40 EUR per person for some saunas, small jacuzzi and jet pools and some showers. When we were there it was also quite crowded and with many people using the jet streams it was very noisy and water everywhere. Not relaxing at all.
The hotel is in god conditon, anyhow the abcence of flexibility by the staff, and the fact that you have to pay 40 Euros per person every time you want to use the sauna/spa is a no good for a five star hotel. The children’s pool is a joke, nothing close to the pictures. There are much better alternatives than this in the good ski resort of Baqueira with the service you would expect from a five star hotel.
Fantastic experience here for the third time. The service is top notch and the staff remembered us from our previous stays. My 83 year old mother-in-law was impressed as well. Ski-in/Ski-out makes it very easy to manage with kids. Food and drink is excellent. The kids club is open till 10pm and the staff there is excellent.
The perfect place to come back to after a long day skiing. Beautifully decorated (we especially like the open fire in the bar), a serene spa, and good location, close to the ski lift. Surrounding area is also lovely for some sightseeing in local villages.
Hotel Val de Neu, have some issues regarding services quality the Fondue Restaurant forget to use your best cloths because the some inside. Gym no towel and water cups, swimming pool is very small and will necessary to reserve in the desk apart of this i have terrible experience with parking wallet they damage my car and i was complait the anwser from the manager .... your car is rental please active the insurance. we are talking about 5 stars hotel.
While the personnel was very dedicated and supportive, it is difficult to classify this hotel as 5 stars mostly from an architectural design point of view. Noisy rooms, breakfast area in a dark area without any mountain view and day light ( no view at all ), expensive but very small Spa area, ski area is remote etc etc. The only one positive surprise comes from the Spa with the Sport Massage from Dessy which made my trip and help me recovering from the 2 intensive day ski. Would come back for this again......
Super friendly, not the trendiest but nicely put together accommodation, family oriented, unrivalled service. Top, but not snobbish. And, what is the best when you are skiing with the family: the logistics are superb. Every single possible detail is taken care for you to enjoy your ski holidays: lockers, rental, forfeits, you simply leave it to the crew and they will look after you. Good spa and great massage. And, three very good restaurants so you really do not have to move, if you don’t want to. The restaurant “La Fondue” does a very good, authentic job on Fondue, Raclette and Pierrade. The Italian “La Nona” is also a good choice. And, you never get the noise or chaos of a Club Med or other inclusive. Finally, they always pamper you with an extra detail that shows they care: the cava on arrival, the chocolates and sweets every night, the free hot chocolate with churros when you come back from skiing or the children’s souvenirs upon departure. Bravo Val de Neu! Will I am sure come back. Very strong recommendation.
