Murphy’s was a lovely find! Property was very nice, the staff was welcoming and friendly, the rooms were very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and it was a nice short walk to The Anvil for a bite to eat and a drink at the end of the day.

Two night's stay, checking in early was not a problem, which suited very much. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Ensuite comfortable size with spacious shower. Breakfast excellent and very flexible, supposed to start at 8.30, was going for a walk on first morning at 7.15 and there were people in breakfast room, walk cut short. Two observations, not criticisms: Rashers smoked, why has this become the trend in very many places now. Personally I don't like smoked meat of any kind. Towels changed after first night, I had left them on the towel rack hoping to indicate that I was happy to use them again, saving water, electricity and the environment from the use of detergents and fabric softeners - something that I think is very important.

Highly recommended

We were travelling to do a parkrun. They were very flexible with breakfast times so we could have something before we needed to set off. They even accommodated our friends who were staying elsewhere and didn’t get such good service, friendly service.

Room was very hot. Eileen got us a fan - but it wasn't very powerful or helpful. Was better than nothing! We couldn't open one of the windows more than an inch or two. Being American - if there is a "trick" to opening the windows - it would be helpful if that is communicated.

Nice and quiet B&B. Wonderful people working there. The breakfast was delicious. It was nice to talk with other people staying there as well as the staff. We were given great advice on our adventures. The rooms were clean and large and had wonderful clean bathrooms. We arrived a bit late. I need to be better about checking my emails and letting the smaller places know our arrival time. We were able to drive to a restaurant close by for dinner. Great stay
