We did not plan to stop over in Killorglin; however, after a full day of exploring Skellig Michael and Valentia Island we were ready for a hot shower and good meal. Killorglin was only 40 minutes away so we booked a room at the Kingston sight unseen and we are so glad we did. The room was beautiful with a large king bed with crisp linens and a fluffy duvet. Even better was the shower with fog free mirrors, and a wonderful shower with a rain shower head. Water pressure was wonderful and the lotions, shampoos etc were high quality and in eco friendly containers. I slept like a stone! Before I finish my review I have to give a shout out to the owners, Irwin and Aoife (please excuse me if I didn’t get the spelling of the names), who were just fantastic. Despite being busy setting up for Puck’s Fest, they were both so gracious making us refreshing Gin and tonics—try Gunpowder gin with Fever Tree Indian tonic—sublime—and got us in for dinner when no tables could be had. Killorglin turns out to be quite a foodie town with several wonderful restaurants one of which is Michelin rated. We enjoyed our time here so much!! Thank you Irwin and Aoife!! I hope you will give them a visit.
Stunning townhouse with brand new everything! Spotless rooms/bathrooms that you could literally eat your dinner off the floor of! Staff are so friendly, welcoming, helpful, chatty.... Breakfast is exactly what we've been looking for - fresh, healthy, local.100% recommend. Will definitely be back 😁
Just spent a lovely luxurious night away in a hidden gem. Kingston’s Is a beautiful boutique hotel in the middle of Killorglin co. Kerry. From the super comfortable king bed the spacious room with 14 foot ceiling, the old rock ruins view out of the window. The decor just invites you to exhale and melt into the spotless thick carpet. The detail that has gone into the design and decor from lighting to Curtin’s is perfect. Not to forget the bathroom with perfect powered water pressure from the extra sized rain shower head and the ample supply of soft plush towels ...., Truth be told I have not stayed anywhere as comfortable and quiet in a long time so much so I really didn’t want to go home. 🥰 Looking forward to returning.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for my bestie's 50th birthday celebrations! We had a very warm welcome from Aoife and Erwin on arrival to what is a beautiful townhouse - the room and ensuite bathrooms are stunning, exceptionally clean and furnished to the highest standards. Bed was extremely comfortable ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The continental breakfast was delicious and Aoife arranged a lovely packed lunch for our day trips. There was a lovely atmosphere in the bar - friendly bar staff, delicious cocktails. The townhouse is located in the heart of Killorglin, everything was on our doorstep. Aoife and Erwin couldn't do enough for us during our stay - I would highly recommend Kingstons for your stay in Co. Kerry, where you won't have to venture too far for breathtaking scenery/landscapes.
From the minute we arrived Erwin and Aoife made us feel very welcome brought us to our rooms and filled us in with all the information about restaurants closeby places of interest to go and see.what a beautiful place to relax and enjoy an Irish coffee when you arrive back from a nice hill walk or a fantastic drive on the ring of Kerry. They have a really nice bar very friendly staff. The bottom line is Kingston’s boutique townhouse is an ideal place to stay for friends or family’s traveling on the ring of Kerry we will definitely be going here again a big Thanks again to Erwin and Aoife give our love to the three smashers 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
We stayed there from the 15th to the 19th of July, and had a great time. Despite some noise from road works at 4:30 AM in the Morning, and a spanish taperecorder going on and on in the evening. It was coming from a excellent restaurant Sol y Sombra, which you MUST visit...but the outside singer we could live without. Otherwise excellent and very, very friendly straf and hosts. We felt very, very welcomed. Breakfast in the pub was also fantastic...and if you like whisky(I don't) they have plenty. Rooms completly new decorated and the souroundings are also very nice. If you want to go fishing, play golf og just enjoy the beautiful nature. Everything is close.
We just stayed at Kingston Townhouse as part of a month long holiday in Ireland. We stayed in Killorglin as a base for golf and other activities in the Ring of Kerry. The quality and modern facilities in the rooms were a real surprise. Great shower, fantastic bed, stylish facilities The breakfast was excellent. Aiofe and Erwin were fantastic hosts and booked us into a couple of great restaurants so take their advice. ! Lucy at breakfast and Liam behind the bar were fantastic. Only negative was that we were there when it was quite warm ( yes!!) and our room was a bit hot so a room on level 1 might be better if the weather is warmer
Due to unfortunate circumstances we were attending a family funeral in Killorglin and I cannot express how grateful we are to Erwin and his family who were very kind and accommodating to us during our stay at an emotional time for us. Kingston’s is really the most beautiful modern townhouse with luxurious rooms and the attention to detail is second to none. We couldn't have asked for anything more during our stay and we look forward to staying again when next visit Killorglin. Richard & Carol
We stayed at this hotel with our three children during a recent visit to Ireland. The staff was so accommodating and friendly and the room was very spacious for 5 people. Erwin was an excellent host and helped us make reservations at a local Spanish restaurant. We even took advantage of the board games in the room and enjoyed a couple of exciting games of Scrabble. The attached bar was a nice convenience to catch an evening drink and socialize with the locals. Be prepared for some street noise during the evenings from the local pubs especially if you are staying on the weekend.
Visited with our two teens and loved the “family room.” It even had board games! Hosts couldn’t of been more helpful and friendly. Lovely townhome, very modern and recently renovated. Central to both Dingle peninsula, Killarney Nat’l park and Ring of Kerry.
