We had a wonderful experience at Ballyseede Castle. The room and grounds were quiet and beautiful. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast there as well. There are miles of trails to explore as well. Would definitely come back if we’re in the area!

Amazing castle and grounds. Very clean and accommodating! Delicious breakfast! The staf was not very knowledgeable about the castle or its rich history unfortunately. I googled most of the history. The main floor bar had limited hours and wasnt open suring oir stay. I wld still recommend Ballyseede Castle!

Beautiful stay, slow service

The hotel is beautiful. The reception staff made a mistake with my reservation and argued the point until I told her I had the printed reservation with me. She looked exasperated and suddenly there was no longer a problem. We had afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The service was incredibly slow. We were ignored for long periods of time. The food was well done and nicely prepared. The grounds are beautiful.

Quiet, great vibes, and very nice staff. I especially loved all the animals and especially Doolin the dog. I was worried I would feel creeped out staying in an older castle. But the rooms didn’t feel creepy at all. Lovely grounds to walk around as well.

This was a great choice! A little off the path but still close enough to Killarney, Ring of Kerry, etc. The food was great, highly recommend dinner and take advantage of the breakfast. Friendly and attentive staff. Loved the property, (friendly pups!) well maintained, great amenities.

Beautiful, romantic, relaxing!

Absolutely amazing! Romantic, magical, and well suited for a lovely getaway with friends or a partner. The grounds were lovely to walk after breakfast, and in the evening before bed. The restaurant was delicious and staff was above and beyond helpful and kind. The bedding and rooms were lovely and comfortable. I slept so well there! The friendly pups that made you feel at home, were the highlight of our trip and stay. We thank the caretakers and owners for their amazing attention to detail. We can't wait to come back!

Absolutely loved our time staying at the Ballyseede Castle ! It was our first time staying in a castle so we were very excited. The rooms were stunningly beautiful fit for royality. The grounds were also very lovely. We had a great meal in the dining room with excellent service and a yummy breakfast included. I even went looking for the ghost of Hilda (one of the previous owners) on the third floor but did not find her. And we loved the bonus of the adorable dogs on the property ! There were two Irish wolfhounds (Dolan and Joe) plus two adorable smaller dogs (Charlie and Hope) all very friendly. There was nothing quite like our stay at Ballyseede Castle, we will remember it forever !

Princess for a night

During my solo road trip around Ireland, I decided to stay at Ballyseede Castle for a night since when else will I have an opportunity to spend an evening in a castle! The grounds were absolutely gorgeous, and the room was so luxurious. The shower was divine, and the toiletries provided left my hair feeling like I'd just come from the salon. I had dinner in Pappy's Bar and ate one of the most delicious steak and ale pies I've ever had, just the perfect portion size! While the location is a little off the beaten path, it is well worth the trip!!!
