Staff in general professional but generally rarely smiling and generally cold. However Sarah the front desk manager did her best to straighten out our booking.
An old hotel with uneven floors that creak as you walk on them. Adds character I guess. Nice room, with kettle and some nice toiletries in the bathroom. Tv only had basic channels, no cable. Had a problem with no hot water for two mornings, so couldn't shower the morning we checked out. They had someone try to fix it, but with little success. Also fire alarms going off for no apparent reason. Room is close to pubs so can get noisy on weekends.
Very very new, very clean. Not really a castle. Great food, though only a few options. People checking take you to your room, but little explanation to what the hotel offers so just had to ask a lot of questions.
Our stay in Neath was comfortable and pleasant. Rooms were good size and clean. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good morning. Also, we appreciated the help the staff provided whenever we had questions or needs.
