Six of us spent the weekend at the Four Seasons Residence Claude Aviara. We reserved a suite for my father (the birthday boy) and my brother & I and our spouses each had rooms close by. Our rooms were spacious, especially the suite, and we each had small balconies. The rooms are very nice, but it is apparent that the property, although well maintained, is far from new. Turn down service was a nice touch- this is not your typical Four Seasons hotel however, and there appear to be some who live here on a part time or regular basis. We saw a lot of people with dogs. The crowd was a mix of families with varying ages from infants to teens, older people (retirees we assume) and so on. There are two pools and hot tubs, and a kids’ pool that we were aware of but did not visit. The grounds are lovely. There is one restaurant (Seasons) that we ate at a few times. Overall a nice stay- this is not a super posh or trendy resort, but for our purposes, elderly parents and two middle-aged adult couples it was a good choice. We had several interactions with their concierge desk on a number of issues, with mixed results, however, any mishaps were handled to our satisfaction. There are two fitness centers, the main one larger than the one near our rooms, but all well appointed. There is a spa but we did not use it or have any of the services which include massage, facials, manicures etc. A special thank you to the general manager Brittany Montano for resolving a few of our issues.
We’ve been to this hotel every year since 2006. It never disappoints. The service, accommodations , outstanding., top notch hotel close to the beach. I’m always sad when we leave. From the service Counter, to housekeeping everything is top notch. Highly Recommend this place.
Stayed here with family - two bedroom unit with great dining room, expansive living room - everything we needed for a long weeks stay. Hotel pools (there are a few) were excellent, kids organized ‘camp’ helpful - and the most beautiful grounds outside of Hawaii (you will think are are in Hawaii it is so lush). Next door to the Hyatt - which also has plenty to offer. Highly recommend.
Breakfast good, if you go to the lower level. Higher level facilities poor. Also, Closed at 6.30 PM just as we were loooing for an early eveung pre-dinner cocktail. Average service. Not many staff. Poor drinks offering. Needs to be a much better service for these prices. We will not visit again.
We had an amazing trip at four seasons aviara. We were welcomed by very kind staff and they had arranged to have stuffed animals and snacks for the kids, mini bathrobes and wrote their names on the mirror... The rooms were very comfortable, the view was beautiful... Every detail was perfect. Thank you so much!!!
I came to the spa to relax and I received the worst service ever and Villas or not very clean they or dusty I found a spider and the location of the villa they gave us it was very loud we could here every single car that came in to the place, Front desk manager doesn't care about their customers.
Our family of four had an amazing experience at the Four Seasons Residence Club. The grounds were immaculate, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everting we needed, the room was perfect, and pool/spa relaxing. We enjoyed walking around property and came for a return visit since we found the location perfect for our needs.... surfing, Legoland, the zoo, La Jolla.
Son lives in Encinitas, we have stayed at LaCosta, Cape Rey, last few times. Booked Four Seasons residence club , people very nice and accommodating. Thought room was out of way, ended up loving the location, Summits pool area was a big hit with grandchildren.
Had a wonderful birthday celebration at the Driftwood Spa here. My daughter and I indulged in a massage and facial that were so amazing. I would highly recommend going for a treatment, you can use the facilities before or after so enjoy a drink by the pool! Try to have lunch there at Seasons, delicious food!! The staff made my birthday so wonderful, thank you!
Great Family trip, pool is great and provided beach items make it easy to visit the beach. The 4th of July activities were awesome for the kids and it felt good to stay on property and be safe from the outside traffic or drunk drivers. Private firework show didn't hurt!
