In the heart of the city within walking distance to many sites. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Stayed for four days. Breakfast is plentiful with choices. Rosie deserves a special shout out. So friendly we exchanged family stories and email addresses.
Picked the Jury’s inn as it was a couple of pounds more than the local premier inn, I’m so glad I did. Check in was a breeze and took no more than 3 mins, the first room I was given was a twin so I called down for a double - not an issue and was quickly moved to 116. What a room for less than £60! It would almost be classed as a Jr suite in some hotels. The location is great right in the middle of the city, breakfast was a very good quality and worth the £9.99. Would definitely stay here again.
Stayed in many places in the country and fancied a city break. The hotel was over priced and we were kept awake until 5 in the morning with loud music from the nightclub around the corner. I had requested a quiet room as it was a break away from the children so very disappointing.
This was our second stay, we love the location, close to all shops and restaurants, comfortable well equipped rooms, our room was at the back so very quiet at night. The car park was full so had to pay to park up the road.
Location was fantastic being in the centre of Cardiff. Room was great and very quiet. Staff were very friendly particularly those in the restaurant. All inclusive breakfasts were amazing, such quality and range of offerings set us up for the whole day of sightseeing and shopping.
A traditional hotel well presented in the middle of town. Very convenient to shops. Large rooms well appointed with very comfortable beds. Not sure of the car parking ability. As we were on a tour bus could stop anywhere! Breakfast was a full continental breakfast.
I stayed on business. It was clean and staff were friendly and quick to sort out problems. Tea was not good. No boiling water. Breakfast was okay otherwise, but not brilliant, but then it wasn't expensive.
Large city centre hotel. Lots of room in public areas. Friendly staff. Reception area looks unorganized due to use of office desks rather than large counter. Breakfast was adequate bit sausage was cheap and porridge tasteless. Chairs in restaurant were peeling and worn.
We stayed in a lovely family suite that slept 3 adults which was comfortable and clean. No view from the window though. Lovely breakfast. Very central location with car park. Staff on reception very pleasant and helpful.
Arriving at Jurys's after a long day at 22:50, we found the reception having IT issues, meaning the check in was delayed whilst a manager was found. However, after check-in found that it looked like I had ended up with an upgraded room. Front desk staff were very apologetic and friendly. The room was spacious and mostly clean - see photos. This was with one exception - a glass top above a cabinet, below a light and mirror - this was filthy, covered in new and dried on dust / dirt. Not sure why this would be so bad when rest of room appeared very clean - see photo below. Whilst the room had air con, it as noisy as the windows were open - and looked out on air co units outside. One window was rather randomly held open by an old plastic water bottle? Not exactly what you would expect from a Jurys hotel? (see photo) Other strange thing about the room was the top of a set of drawers, holding the hairdryer. This opened on its own if not fully closed - so when closing the right hand side of the drawer had two magnetic catches roughly screwed on, with matching catches on the drawers unit - see phot - this was a very Heath Robinson way to fix the problem. In the bathroom things were clean and fresh looking, decent towels and good shower. However, the toiletries left a lot to be desired (by the time I realised this I was in a hurry the following morning) - one small shampoo - no soap, shower gel, etc - not acceptable. If I had realised sooner I am sure that this would have been easily sorted. TV in room was a decent sized Samsung. Breakfast - quick seating, decent food, but coffee achiness did not do espresso, just 'coffee' or 'tea'! At the very reasonable price paid, even with the small niggles above, giving this hotel 4* - would have got 5* if not for the dirty glass surface, plastic bottle holding open a window and the lack of toiletries.
