Old and tired. Pool area and changing rooms moldy and dirty. Lots of black and pink mould especially in the showers. When we arrived they wanted to charge us an extra £20 to use the pool (they charge extra from 1st Nov) we had already paid nearly £500 for the night accomodation. Room was very cold sheets very thin on the bed. Not a top hotel. Bedroom was clean.

Everything was great. Especially Ceri at the front desk and boy did she know her job. Well done to you Ceri. My only disappointment was, on arrival at the spa for a swim we were asked to pay £5 each for the 3 of us to use the pool. We weren’t told that this was now a paid service and were very surprised to find out it was , right at the last minute. All said and done we had a fab time. Many thanks Clive.

Our room had a great view of the Ferris wheel and Cardiff castle. The rubbish bin in our room had a broken bottom which the cleaners knew about but didnt replace. It seemed that they cleaning regime for our floor was around 3pm daily which wasnt good for us as we would go out early and wanted to come back and relax but couldn't. The bathroom is and clean and spacious but the water pressure for the shower is terrible they need to address this. Breakfast has your staple foods which is good. The 2 lifts are old and slow. Just some observations for management to review.

Well...it was definitely one of my most exciting visits to the Hilton, between multiple fire alarms and having to change rooms early hours (it definitely got my steps in and those stairs to the 6th and 7th floor really are a weeks cardio...they are no joke) The staff are always amazing and really helped the best they could. We managed to break a chair during breakfast, which resulted in a game of musical chairs and the laughter was very much needed. I spilled water everywhere (it was one of those mornings) safe to say I'm glad the staff know us very well or it would have been embarrassing. I will say, even with all the crazy going on. The girls on the desk and the night staff where amazing, jumped into action. When we returned from the evacuation, we wouldn't enter our room due to a strong sulphur odour and even though we had to wait for another room, they really did a great job and held it all together. The young lad who helped us move room with our bags was so nice and was able to laugh with us during this funny ordeal. A dedicated and friendly staff, really make these situations easier to handle.
