We stayed here for four nights & were very pleased with our choice of this hotel, not only for it's central location. Our room was a standard double which was clean & comfortable, with a huge bathroom having a bath & separate shower. Although we overlooked the road, there was very minimal traffic noise & we liked the view of the Welsh flags waving on the castle walls. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a varied selection- the hot food was hot! -served by a cheery chef! We ate in Greys restaurant on two occasions & enjoyed both meals. All the staff here are friendly & efficient-it makes such a difference to have good service. We can thoroughly recommend this Hilton!
Three room while a good size wad good ans had a smell to it like someone before us had a pet in there peeing. Otherwise the people were nice, good location, and it had a costa coffee in it which we liked.
I love staying at the Cardiff Hilton; I sleep better here than an home and the whole experience is easy with a welcoming and homely atmosphere while at the same time smart and professional. It is unusual as a single woman to feel totally at home in a hotel yet that's the way I feel here. The service is warm - the staff friendly and genuinely giving their full attention while remaining professional. The food is excellent, both in the restaurant and bar and the breakfast is the best I've had at any hotel in the UK. The pool, steam room, hot tub and sauna are always immaculate and the changing rooms a pleasure to use. I've recently started staying regularly in Cardiff for business and have been trying different hotels - partly according to availability and current price but also to find one where I know I will get a good night's sleep and can feel at home enough to relax and not be stuck in my room - which can happen as a single woman travelling alone. The Cardiff Hilton ticks all the boxes; not only do I sleep well and have an great breakfast but I'm also comfortable enough to spend the evening down in the bar lounge area - can particularly recommend the local Cardiff Dry Gin, recommended by the friendly and helpful barman.
Stayed for one night prior to the half marathon. We had a junior suite room 714 from which we could see the finish line. The room was clean and a well presented. Use of the lounge was lovely and my husband and daughter enjoyed breakfast whilst I was running. Katie on the front desk was a delight, so helpful, as was Shaq on valet parking. Already booked for next year!
Unexpected stop. We were not disappointed. Lovely food and polite staff. Unintended but glad we visited. Clean and fresh surrounding and small details that staff took we noticed. We have told friends its Worth a visit.
We visited Cardiff for a 3 night stay and had a great time around the Bay and Castle and City Centre. The Hilton proved to be a great base, within walking distance of most things we wanted to see. The Hotel was typically clean and well equipped, but we also particularly enjoyed the Executive "lounge" on the 7th floor with fantastic views over Cardiff Castle and where we took all our breakfasts and which also provided afternoon teas and enough snacks to recharge us through the day. You have to be staying in and Executive level room to use this facility, but in our opinion it was well worth spending a little more on an Executive room to in order to get access to the Executive lounge. We also used the swimming pool for some exercise.
Staff are so friendly, helpful and smiling. Room was large and very clean with nice products. Good toilet paper. Heating/air con good and easy to use. Lifts are fast. Breakfast had good choice. My only criticism would be tv channels- not much choice.
I booked this hotel as my normal favourite was fully booked and maybe it was meant to be. I would never go back. A great hotel with brilliant staff who were so helpful. I travel a lot for work and stay in many hotels and this one is the best in a long time. I parked in the hotel and the team were brilliant and supportive. I honestly have nothing but positive feedback about the staff and hotel. I will come back on holiday rather than work. Recommended
Not value for money. Parking expensive, Internet was bad, breakfast was bad. Toilet seat was broken. Would not use them again. Parking was not mentioned when booking, internet is slower than my 4G phone
Brilliant , wonderful and exceptional customer service , that went beyond our expectations... We had booked for a special occasion and Rachel Williams ensured that The Hilton delivered the best possible experience for my husband . We had the most fabulous stay here and can only praise the exceptional staff , who are the most friendly , professional and attentive I’ve ever come across in hospitality. Rosie on reception was a true delight , interested in us , enthusiastic, knowledgeable and warm in her attitude and she was genuinely involved and cared about our stay .. The staff in the executive lounge were attentive , unobtrusive and welcoming . From every aspect of the time we spent here , we only had positive things to say and would recommend in a heart beat... Rachel and your team , thank you again for ensuring that you created a wonderful and lasting memory ..
