Great location and very helpful staff. Room quite small but the balcony made it feel less so. Hanging wardrobe but no drawers. Food was good and not overpriced. Would happily recommend for a short break.
Awesome view of the castle. Nice staff Strict 15:00hr checkin Kind to leave luggage and roam around But when we were back at 15:30 they still had to check if room was ready :D Lovely terrace, restaurant and pool with a view. View from the room in the attached photo, magnificent indeed
Coming to visit the Medieval City of Carcassone is for most people a fantasy come true after seeing photos in history books and travel folders. However, I strongly recommend a first stop before walking into the city at the Hotel des Trois Couronnes. Staying in one of the Panoramic rooms provides an ever-changing perspective, depending on the time of day or night, on the city. Being able to take in this view of and from history is an incredible moment into itself, and well worth the additional price of the room.
Only stayed 1 night but had a good room with the panoramic view of the old city. Room comfy with tea making facilities (unusual in france). Toilet was very small though - you couldn't shut the door without hitting your knees. We ate in the restaurant for dinner where the staff were friendly and had a good view as the restaurant is on the 4th floor. The breakfast was a disappointment as no one was checking if food or crockery had run out - weird cooked eggs. We didn't use the pool but did use the underground parking. However there is free parking by the river in front of the hotel. I would happily stay here again.
A large group of us stayed here. The hotel was nice with great vies of the walled city. I was not too impressed with the food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was ok, not as clean as I would like and mould around the bath. The bar ran out of beer at 6.30pm!!!! THat said I would stay again.
Best thing about this hotel is its position, stunning views of the medieval cite and ten minutes walk to the main square where the market takes place and there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Room wasn't overly big but was spotless and had large comfy bed,as others have said wasn't very keen on separate toilet and bathroom, could get awkward sometimes. A few little extras like a safe and maybe few extra toiletries for those of us with just cabin luggage would be helpful. Restaurant has lovely views but was looking a little tired, breakfast was adequate, usual breads ,fruit, eggs etc. I would recommend this hotel mainly for position but don't expect luxury.
Very nice hotel. Secure underground parking. Fantastic view of Carcassonne from hotel room. Large room with balcony. Nice cafe right out the front door. Good prices. Easy walk to Carcassonne old walled city. Clean and comfortable.
Lovely hotel in a good location. Beautiful views, well sized rooms with comfortable beds and customer service is excellent. Their coffee and hot chocolate was tasty and the indoor pool with the view of the castle was brilliant! Would definitely come again!
Superb location for sightseeing and transport and amenities. Clean and comfortable room, could do with little redecorating to modernise. Staff are very friendly! And in a place where wine is cheaper than bottled water, the complimentary water (which we didn't spot until halfway through our stay!) is a really great little touch!
The hotel was conveniently located both to the old walled city and the newer city center. It was an easy walk to either location. The view of the old walled city from our room was wonderful. The room was clean and we actually like the toilet in a separate room. The staff was very kind and helpful. Parking was across the street but with a larger vehicle, as we found in other cities too, is a bit challenging. My only other comment is not related to the hotel itself, but rather to the cleanliness on the streets/sidewalks. Apparently many pet owners don't feel the need to clean up after their pets, so beware when walking or you will be taking home an unwanted part of the city. It really is a shame as this is a lovely city.
