Reno is a popular entertainment destination in northwest Nevada. Also known as “The Biggest Little City in the World”, Reno is the second largest tourist destination in the state. One of the best ways to see all that Reno has to offer is to rent a car. Head south of the downtown area to experience Reno’s urban renaissance at the art district. The Truckee River Arts District includes the Riverwalk District in the north, and California Avenue in the south. Riverwalk District features shops, boutiques, restaurants, breweries, and bars while California Avenue is known as the shopping center of the city. Also, every third Saturday of the month, you can join the Wine Walk for wine samples at the Riverwalk District.

For those seeking outdoor adventures nearby, visit the Truckee Water Park, which is right in the middle of downtown Reno. Conquer the Class II and III rapids by kayak, river tube, or boat. For outdoor adventures outside of the downtown area, take your rental car and head on over to one of the highest mountains in the Lake Tahoe basin.

From the summit, gaze out over phenomenal views of Lake Tahoe, the waterfalls and alpine lakes. Also, less than an hour away from Reno, drive through the desert and spend the day at Pyramid Lake. Go fishing, boating, or visit the Pyramid Lake Tribe Museum. This museum pays homage to the Native American Paiute tribe’s culture and history.
