Sweet Lemon is a beautiful and clean guest house. The breakfast is great and the city center as well as Victoria & Alfred Waterfront can be reached within some minutes by car. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The idea was to get away from home and go somewhere where it is quiet, peaceful and tranquil. Sweet Lemon offered exactly that. The staff were welcoming, The guesthouse itself is close to amenities, is located in a quiet street. Fellow guests were peaceful too. We truly enjoyed the outing.

Very friendly staff (Bridget2 and 1) every room is unique, the bathroom with shower very modern, nice view to the sea - a really beautiful place to stay. The guetsthouse is close to everything in town, supermarkets, restaurants etc.

We stayed for 2 nights. Good service and very nice and friendly staff, specially Bridget2. Each room is very unique, clean, big and comfortable. Close to variety of restaurants and walking distance from the seafront.

Sweet Lemon was everything and more than the website description. It felt like a home away from home. Each room is tastefully decorated with a personal touch, and has it's own unique feel. The staff were helpful, and I'd like to particularly mention the lady in the kitchen who was able to provide everything we needed from scissors to Wifi codes to a great bacon and egg breakfast! I would definitely visit again and recommend this cute and cosy spot for anyone visiting CPT

Wonderful place to stay and relax, with very nice and friendly stuff. Greetings to Bridget. Everything perfect, nothing to criticize. Excellent! Every place in the city easy to reach.Defintely worth it to come again.

This guesthouse is oozing with charm! We stayed here as part of our tour for two nights our tour group occupied the whole guesthouse and all rooms we saw were lovely and unique. We stayed in Blue Sky which is one of the two rooms upstairs was incredible and huge! It had a full kitchen, lounge area which had a great view of signal hill and large outside entertaining area. There is such a homely feel throughout the hotel. The breakfast was really good and tasty. We paid for Wi-Fi which was fine and it worked perfectly. Laundry services are also reasonably priced and efficient. The location is handy to walk some lovely restaurants and close enough to get a cheap cab or Uber to other main attractions. The neighbourhood was quiet from any noise. A great little place we were really surprised at how lovely this place was!

We stayed in the Sweet Lemon guest house as part of a package overland trip we had booked. All the accommodation on our tour was amazing, so we had high expectations once we reached Cape Town. Happily, the lemon didn't disappoint. Each room is very unique and completely different, from the layout, size, style and facilities. We were a group of 11 and we all absolutely loved it. It's a 2 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants and 5 minutes to the beach. You can walk into town (the V&A) in about 45 minutes or simply catch a bus or cab. Many of us are going back next year and I can't wait to revisit the Sweet Lemon.

I stayed here for two nights in July at the start of a three week trek around Southern Africa. The beds were comfy, the showers were clean and the breakfast plentiful. The staff came in early to serve breakfast to suit our itinerary and for a few nights, the room was fine. Wifi costs extra but is good.

We were excited to stay at Sweet Lemon for a business trip, but it ended up being a bad experience. Our biggest concern is the misrepresentation we encountered on their website. What was advertised on their website hugely influenced our decision to book our stay with them. Upon our arrival in the evening, we were unable to find parking, despite their website claiming there is parking and even here on Tripadvisor it claims to have free parking. Well, technically there is parking and it is free... If you can find a spot! You have to park on the side of the road out in the street and it's a densely populated area, so finding a parking spot close by is an issue. Also advertised on their website as having air conditioning, which it doesn't. Panel heaters and a fan are provided. There is a fireplace that could make for great atmosphere. WiFi and DSTV are available, but at an additional cost. We did not have a good night's sleep, because it is located in a busy and very noisy area. The bathroom seemed a bit ill maintained. It wasn't dirty, but it just felt like it was. There is also an electrical power outlet right under the wash hand basin which is concerning to begin with and worsened by the fact that the basin was leaking... Breakfast was delicious, but could be slightly bigger. The staff is very friendly and helpful. After hearing our complaints they promptly arranged for us to move to another one of their establishments, which better suited our needs. Fortunately we only stayed at Sweet Lemon for one night.
