Wonderful place to stay and relax, with very nice and friendly stuff. Greetings to Bridget. Everything perfect, nothing to criticize. Excellent! Every place in the city easy to reach.Defintely worth it to come again.

This guesthouse is oozing with charm! We stayed here as part of our tour for two nights our tour group occupied the whole guesthouse and all rooms we saw were lovely and unique. We stayed in Blue Sky which is one of the two rooms upstairs was incredible and huge! It had a full kitchen, lounge area which had a great view of signal hill and large outside entertaining area. There is such a homely feel throughout the hotel. The breakfast was really good and tasty. We paid for Wi-Fi which was fine and it worked perfectly. Laundry services are also reasonably priced and efficient. The location is handy to walk some lovely restaurants and close enough to get a cheap cab or Uber to other main attractions. The neighbourhood was quiet from any noise. A great little place we were really surprised at how lovely this place was!

We stayed in the Sweet Lemon guest house as part of a package overland trip we had booked. All the accommodation on our tour was amazing, so we had high expectations once we reached Cape Town. Happily, the lemon didn't disappoint. Each room is very unique and completely different, from the layout, size, style and facilities. We were a group of 11 and we all absolutely loved it. It's a 2 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants and 5 minutes to the beach. You can walk into town (the V&A) in about 45 minutes or simply catch a bus or cab. Many of us are going back next year and I can't wait to revisit the Sweet Lemon.

I stayed here for two nights in July at the start of a three week trek around Southern Africa. The beds were comfy, the showers were clean and the breakfast plentiful. The staff came in early to serve breakfast to suit our itinerary and for a few nights, the room was fine. Wifi costs extra but is good.

We were excited to stay at Sweet Lemon for a business trip, but it ended up being a bad experience. Our biggest concern is the misrepresentation we encountered on their website. What was advertised on their website hugely influenced our decision to book our stay with them. Upon our arrival in the evening, we were unable to find parking, despite their website claiming there is parking and even here on Tripadvisor it claims to have free parking. Well, technically there is parking and it is free... If you can find a spot! You have to park on the side of the road out in the street and it's a densely populated area, so finding a parking spot close by is an issue. Also advertised on their website as having air conditioning, which it doesn't. Panel heaters and a fan are provided. There is a fireplace that could make for great atmosphere. WiFi and DSTV are available, but at an additional cost. We did not have a good night's sleep, because it is located in a busy and very noisy area. The bathroom seemed a bit ill maintained. It wasn't dirty, but it just felt like it was. There is also an electrical power outlet right under the wash hand basin which is concerning to begin with and worsened by the fact that the basin was leaking... Breakfast was delicious, but could be slightly bigger. The staff is very friendly and helpful. After hearing our complaints they promptly arranged for us to move to another one of their establishments, which better suited our needs. Fortunately we only stayed at Sweet Lemon for one night.

The hotel was very nice and the staff members were very friendly. I was satisfied with the hotel, the service and the staff. Maybe I come back once again! The city Cape Town is also very beautiful and have so many things which you can do or where you can go.

Room was very noisy because the people next to us had kids and the man constantly shouted at them. The walls are very thin. Parking was a huge problem. Breakfast served in a very small area. DSTV is extra but the channels are still limited. Service on arrival poor.

I stayed here for 1 week prior to the Cape Argus and had 2 rooms one by the pool which was a superb little cottage and then 1 on the top floor which had superb views and what I have booked already for next year ! Amazing people running the place a superb breakfast every day with great local produce and just a friendly place to be in Capetwon

Comfortable and very individual place! We spent in total 6 nights in the Sweet Lemon and enjoyed very single Day. All Staff is very friendly and helpful, specially Thandy, Linnet and Tateida. They organised everything for us, had many informations and took care for us in a very special manner. We can definitely recommend this place for people who are interested to stay at a special place and don't need the standard service of a large hotel chain. Endeavor the place and enjoy your stay!

Our booking was cancelled late afternoon and they did not offer any solution or compensation, which to me is a bloody shame. This is no way to treat guests and a zero performance. We will not consider this guest house - or one of their other locations - when we are in Cape Ton again, in April.
