We were booked for a one night stay but on arrival wished we had been staying longer. Lovely hotel in a great location close to bars and restaurants & within walking distance of the University, Botanic Gardens etc. Room was nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed & huge bathroom. We ate at the hotel restaurant and had a lovely meal with wine at a very reasonable cost. Only downside is the pool area is very small for the number of guests but would definitely stay here again if returning to Stellenbosch.
Wonderful boutique hotel, spacious, comfortable room and beautiful well appointed bathroom. Very friendly staff and a delicious and plentiful New Year's Eve meal! Lovely breakfasts too. Centrally located with quick and easy valet parking. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, don't hesitate to stay here when you visit Stellenbosch.
Rooms are very beautifully furnished, with beautiful interior. The staff are very friendly and helpful and they let you feel that you are the most important guest. Close to everything in town, walking distance. The parking is also pleasant, because they take your car to park, and bring it whenever you need it.
My partner & I recently stayed at the Coopmanhuijs Hotel in Stellenbosch. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The staff were very helpful & friendly nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect being right in the centre of the town . Our room was lovely, quite small but beautifully appointed & spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable with crisp white bed linen. The breakfast was very well presented & delicious & it was nice to eat outside in the courtyard. The evening meal was equally as good. It was the last hotel we stayed at on our tour of the wine route & it was great to finish on a high. We would not hesitate to return if the opportunity arises. Gail Howson
Wonderfully attentive and friendly staff. A pleasure to be with.Hospitality as good as anywhere in the world. Although the available space is restricted any frustrations suffered by the staff never allowed to detract from the guests enjoyment
A beautiful, well appointed, clean, comfortable, well positioned Boutique Hotel served by a dedicated and wonderful staff. Helena’s restaurant serves delicious meals for dinner and the breakfasts are very good indeed. We will definitely keep going back.
This five star boutique hotel is located in a 300 year old central Stellenbosch building, once a private house. There is a small pool area and a spa shoe-horned into what was once the garden. Obviously, any alterations to the old building are restricted, which meant us passing through the kitchen area to get to our room(s). Our first room was tiny, with a large comfy bed and a nice bathroom almost the size of the bedroom! We had a partly covered terrace, which, unfortunately, we discovered we shared with a couple of pigeons, who thought they lived there! That led to and early start to the next day, with loud cooing and then a very messy terrace. A scruffy nest was started in a corner, at which point we gave up and asked to be moved. Avoid room 9! Next room was bigger, and vermin free. Nicely decorated and pretty luxurious, as befitting a five star establishment. Breakfasts on the terrace were good, with loads of choice, and we enjoyed the small pool area. We thought the staff were fantastic – polite and ever helpful. The central location is good too and two of our favourite restaurants are only yards away. Great place to “nest” in Stellenbosch, for people and, it seems, pigeons!
Great location with an excellent team of staff members. Staff were courteous and helpful Hotel was perfect for our needs. Valet parking a real bonus. Breakfast simple and highly adequate. Next time will try the hotels Restuarant for dinner.
It is a place that most of ud want to go back to start theorie hollidays in SA. People welcome you with a big smile and are super helpfull . The hotel has at the dame time a very good restaurant where you will enjoy the good food on the teras at the street side. Great place.
