Amazing old hotel with very large very clean rooms, we stayed 2 nights but was too short. We had a problem with our shuttle bus not picking us up at the airport but the hotel not only sent out their own driver to fetch us, but sorted the problem with the shuttle company. Amazing service, great manager, will defenitly come back. Elizabeth H

We had a superior room booked by our travel advisers, Freedom Africa, and it was wonderful. A 7-foot wide bed, imaginative use of glass and mirrors, some quirky design features – classy and beautiful. The staff were very professional and friendly, the breakfasts exquisitely prepared and presented. A hotel we could revisit time and time again. We were sorry to leave.

It is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.the staff couldn't do enough for you bedrooms are amazing. In the centre of stellenbosch everything within walking distance. Breakfasts fantastic would stay here again

I came to the hotel with some overseas guests to show them the rooms of the hotel. On arriving at the restaurant the staff started chatting with my daughter of 7 years old. They also started telling us about the lunch specials and we decided to stay for a quick burger. The burger was very good, the bun also and it was everything you'd expect from a juicy "messy" lunch. The potato fries were exceptional and the service by Bernice was top-notch! We washed it down with Guardian Peak wines and left very full, but perfectly content. I cannot believe that this venue is not packed every day for lunch and dinner. Hopefully the tourist will arrive to boost the restaurant, but in the meantime I would like to call on all the locals to visit.

We stayed for 3 days with friends, and couldn’t fault how well we were looked after. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, the rooms were stunning and the location can’t be faulted. We’ll definitely stay here again when next in Stellenbosch.

We have visited Oude Werf restaurant for breakfast and what a pleasant surprise. The cold buffet food looked divine but we have opted for the set menu. Food was delicious and the hotel is absolutely stunning, glass all over, modern, light. I would recommend spending a morning here for breakfast.

We came to Stellenbosch to visit family and, again, stayed at this wonderful hotel. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so very welcome that it really did feel like our 'home away from home'. We were very happy to have the same room as our last visit (Room 201 - to the side of the original building) which is spacious and comfortable and has a super, contemporary bathroom! The breakfast caters to everyone and on the two kccasions when we had dinner the food was excellent. All the hotel's staff, without exception, were so friendly and took great pains to ensure that we enjoyed our stay with them so, to all of you, a warm and heartfelt "Thank You". We will look forward to our next visit and hope that it won't be too long coming. Thank you all once again. PS: the ratings selection didn't work so we will just add that we rated service, location and rooms all as 5*

Stayed 2 days at this lovely hotel which is located in the heart of Stellenbosch and within a stone’s throw to all restaurants, galleries and Village Museum. There is also a mall within 2 blocks. To me, the Oude Werf is like a boutique hotel...very unique...the outside is like a historic mansion but the inside is modern and contemporary. Unlike other big and branded hotels, the Reception area exudes warmth and very welcoming manned by smiling and accommodating staffs. Off to the right, past the Reception is a great room with nice comfortable furnitures. It is also where the bar is located. If memory serves me right, I think all the guest rooms are located in the 2nd and 3rd floors serviced with an all glass elevator that provides unobstructed view of the outside and inside of the hotel. My room has a sliding glass door that leads to a balcony that looks out to the swimming pool and garden and a view of the Dutch Reform Church’ steeple. The bathroom is modern with smoke glass as dividing wall between bedroom and bathroom. Bespoke amenities like soft pillows, plush comforter, and bathroom toiletries contributed to the atmosphere of comfort and luxury. This hotel has a nice restaurant where I had a breakfast that offers a buffet of international cuisine. From the Reception, bell hops, dining, bar, and housekeeping staffs, I definitely had a wonderful and comfortable stay albeit short at this hotel. This is definitely a 5-Star boutique hotel in my book!

Stayed for two nights. Wish we had stayed morning. Traveled from Cape Town to visit the wine region. This hotel was excellent. Nice of street parking and central location next to resteraunts and bars. Welcoming staff and excellent breakfast. The rooms were superb. Modern and well presented. Street facing room but almost no noise. Will hopefully be back some time.

We only stayed one night in Oude Werf but we would have loved to stayed longer. Very kind staff, great breakfast buffet, good location and very charming rooms. Especially the beds and the bath room were very cozy and they even have nespresso coffee:-)
