Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Cape Cod Hyannis

This was our first trip to the Cape so we liked knowing what to expect from a Fairfield Inn. It's a newer property so the lobby is nice and fresh as are the standard rooms. Best feature of the rooms was the large stand up shower that accommodates tall people well. Standard hot breakfast included, which is nice. Location was good - close to the start / western edge of the Cape (after the 2 hour drive from Boston / Logan starting at rush hour was relieved to not have a longer drive if we'd stayed at a location further east. To set expectations - all the chain hotels / stores are located in the middle of the Cape (so it's not in a scenic area). But it's a several minute drive to Main St in Hyannis (which we really liked) and a few more minutes to the harbor / beaches. It's a good spot from which to explore the Cape.

My family stayed here fro two nights. Hotel staff was friendly. We had the king rooms which unfortunately are all located at the front of the hotel very close to Route 132. As a result you can hear some road noise but late at night it does quiet down. Not sure what the hotel was thinking when it was constructed to put these rooms in this locations. You would think that as a long standing Marriott Rewards member I would get one of those free upgrades they advertise, but no I have never received one. The standard King rooms are on the smaller side and have no chairs besides the desk chair, and have no couches. I do like the refrigerator and microwave in the room. The closet is on the small side as well if you were there for an extended stay. The bathroom shower is a large walk in shower which is a plus. Beds are firm and pillows were nice , providing a good night's sleep. Limited noise from the hallway's. Veronica our housekeeper did a great job keeping our room very clean during our stay. Kudos to her! During the week days the pool only open's at 4:00PM and you need to wait for a life guard designee to be there while you are in the pool. We found this to be strange especially if you are travelling with kids. I think the hotel should re-evaluate this policy. The pool is not large but was adequate. The water could be kept a little warmer for sure. They indicate that the pool was salt water but we could not tell the difference. There is no hot tub either plus the pool sitting area is limited. The breakfast was pretty typical with a couple of hot items, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, and a couple pastry items. At busy times the breakfast staff seemed to struggle a little to keep up with the demand, and to keep the tables cleaned as well. Overall for free it was fine.

We are Marriott Rewards members and have stayed @ Fairfield Inn & Suites before. However, we have always had a room that was a suite with a couch and living area. At this hotel, we were in a regular hotel room with a king bed, desk, fridge & microwave. Not sure what has changed with their design but it should not be advertised as a suite. Next time I would request a room away from the street as it was noisy during the night with all the traffic on the main road. Speaking of the road, when entering from Iyannough Rd. you have to pass the hotel on your left, go up to the next light, make a U-turn and then enter the hotel on the right. Very awkward & a bit dicey with traffic. Breakfast and social area was light & airy; food quality & variety was acceptable but not outstanding.

clean room, nice front desk staff very helpful. complementary breakfast in the morning. room was spacious and comfortable beds. restaurant close very early, not mich to do in town, must business closed

Room was a bit small. Check in and check out was pleasant. Employees are nice. A bit expensive for an ok room. It was also noisy on the ground floor We kept hearing talking and running in the hallways until 1 am and the front desk was right around the corner maybe an employee can say something to noisy people coming in late. Clean rooms.

As a Nantucket resident this place is a great deal . They offer complimentary breakfast and wifi. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Location is great as its next to the Cape Cod Mall and Not Your Average Joe's . Its my new favorite hotel to stay at in the Hyannis area.

This hotel is new and they did a great job with it. Everything is new and fresh and clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rate is very reasonable and the location is perfect! I would highly recommend booking this hotel if you are staying in the Hyannis area.

I had to be in town in the middle of the week in the middle of off season for a family event and as you can imagine, this limits the options are available. I was very happy with this hotel- it was seemingly brand new; gym was great with brand new life fitness equipment (and tv's that actually worked)! Bed was super comfy, room clean, no nonsense, reliable wifi. Clean bathroom. Great staff- all friendly and remembered us by name. The buffet was more than adequate for a complimentary one. Also, adjacent (walkable) to Cape Cod mall. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Had a small problem and they took care of it right away. Close to the mall so less driving for us. Nice room and comfortable beds. You can even get Netflix and hulu on your t.v.! Will be staying there again!

This hotel had only been opene for three weeks when we stayed in November. Consequently is was very nice, crowded but nice. The staff was very well trained and helpful. They called cabs for us several times. The free breakfast buffet was very good and never ending. It's alleays good to go early. It gets crowded after about 45 minutes. It is not walkable to main street which along with the marina is the major attraction in Hyannis. However, with the best clam chowder and quehogs in Cape Cod, we thoroughly enjoyed our dtay in Hyannis! Salute!
