This is a standard hotel for Switzerland. It is clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. The only problem was that there was only one duvet, which they probably also use for winter. It was too warm for the summer weather. Hence, I slept with the window wide open, which brought in occasional traffic noises. For the price charged, I would expect a bit more.
The only good thing about the hotel was the location. The staff at the hotel were kind, yet made you feel like an outsider. They keep the hotel at a balmy 64 degrees F, and no way to control the temperature in your own room. We asked them to fix our heat numerous times through out our stay. But after 2 bone chilling, sleepless nights, we decided to change all of our plans and leave early. After which, they refused to refund our money for the 2 nights we did not stay.
Our room was freezing and we had to cut our entire vacation short by 2 days because my wife got sick. The hotel refused to refund the 2 days telling us it was non-refundable. Who charges people who get sick in the hotel and have to spend thousands rearranging their travel? Below summary of what happened through emails with the hotel: It is unfortunate that you are misstating the facts as I will indicate below: We arrived at the hotel and within 30 minutes of arrival we informed you that the room was too cold. You informed us that you would fix. We informed you again the same day that the room was too cold. You informed us that you went there once and you would go and fix it again. We informed you the next morning that the room as still too cold. You informed us that you would fix it. We told you again that afternoon that the room was still too cold and you informed us you would fix it and also put a space heater in our room. We never got the space heater. We woke up the next day too cold my wife was now sick and we changed our flights and came back to our home. We informed you in the morning and then you asked us if we would like another room but we had already changed our flights. Your email below further indicates that you did t nothing to fix our temperature as you say that the temperature is constant 64 degrees at night. That is totally unacceptable to any person.
