Roomed was not cleaned well or vacuumed at all during our stay. Wet towels where left and only some replaced. Beds where full not queen. Pillows where terrible. No breakfast available over Christmas days. We liked the pool and hot tub.

I booked through Orbitz and did not see the one line that stated my room would be located in a separate building. Regardless, I would have still booked the room because the pictures provided online were gorgeous and the idea of being away from everyone sounds like it’d be a little quieter anyway. This is NOT the case. The building separate from the main building the hotel calls the “annex” building. This building, as I have told the hotel, is basically a step down from any motel 6. My wife and I checked in around 4, but quickly went hiking and had a late dinner. We returned to the room around midnight and that’s when we really realized how poor of conditions the Annex building is. The carpet was all stained, the doorknob to the balcony was broken off, the lock on the bathroom didn’t work, the sink was cracked, no sheets were on the mattress and the comforter was covered in dog hair (we didn’t bring a dog), the smell was an unbearable musty smell, the list goes on. So here is the REAL problem with this hotel, I don’t expect a perfect hotel room, but I quickly read through the reviews to this place after the fact (that is my fault) and their are dozens of poor reviews ALL in regard to the Annex building. Furthermore, no picture on their website or any hotel site shows pictures of how poor the conditions are in that building. In fact, no pictures are even of any part of this building. It is a blatant misrepresentation of the product they are providing for their customers.

Bathroom shower leaked under the glass door so had to wipe up the floor. Bottom bed sheet had a hole, pillow case 3. One bar on veranda was missing, a small child could fall through. I did complain when checking out, and said they were sorry and refund 25%. Felt that was fair.

They did not clean the room once during our week stay. You could not turn around in the shower it was so small and narrow. Very overpriced. Excellent restaurant but I understood it was not part of the hotel.

Overall the stay was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The suite was spacious, clean and updated. The kitchen had basic amenities for cooking. If your major point if interest is in and around Canmore the location is very convenient. If going back and forth between Banff or farther then a car would be recommended.

All very nice. Restaurant excellent! However, they did charge my credit card for incidentals which I had none. Had to go through my bank to get dispute resolved and taken off my card.

Dear Traveler, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to provided us with your feedback. I am so sorry for this bad experience. We take our guest satisfaction very seriously very seriously and unfortunately we did not live up to yours or our own standards. The restaurant onsite is a family run business that is completely separate from the resort. Unfortunately we do not have any control over when they are open, I apologize if this caused any inconveniences for you.

Dear Traveler, It is indeed noted on Expedia, as well as Orbitz that the room type you booked was located separate from the main building. I am incredibly sorry that you felt mislead by the photos, please note that we are updating them in the near future. I apologize for all of the issues you experienced during your time with us, as well we are under new management and have addressed the majority of your concerns. this was an old hotel with poor renovations.

Your expectations and the information provided by our front desk agents seemed to be missing. We are a very environmentally friendly hotel and ask our guests to contact our front desk or housekeeping if they would like a complete room cleaning every day. Otherwise it is done every 4th day unless a guest requests otherwise.
