The clerk was very helpful. Happy hour was a very nice surprise, and the $5 breakfast? Fantastic! We very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

It was a lovely place to stay! Very walkable, close to the lakes, and all around clean, well-maintained property. Very comfy beds as well.

Very old building and the doors are not good. Cleanness is very poor.

We had two night pleasant stay. Staffs are friendly.

Big room and high ceilings, front desk staff friendly etc ...

Canmore Rocky Mountain Inn has some lovely architectural features, but it disappointed us. We paid for a "Premium" room, two steps up from the lowest tier. The main claim to fame is a fireplace, which doesn't matter in August, but we figured this option would be a bit nicer in general. The room we received was the closest one to the lobby, backing onto the main washroom. The "patio" was a door that opened onto a cement pad facing the parking lot. The fireplace — which we didn't want to use but decided to check on since it was the only apparent perk — didn't work. When we saw where our room was, we asked if there was something else, even a non-Premium room. We were told there was nothing available, though the hotel looked at least half vacant judging by the parking lot and busyness on a Saturday. While all in all the stay was fine, it was not the little bit of luxury we were expecting. I would suggest not bothering with a "higher quality" room unless you really love fireplaces. There were also whispers on some room descriptions of a continental breakfast, but I couldn't find specifics of this service anywhere. When we left around 9:15 am to checkout, there were two plastic-wrapped muffins remaining on a tray beside a fruit bowl with solid green bananas. The coffee was absolutely terrible. All in all, this place is fine and you only need to walk out the door for incredible beauty, but if you can find something cheaper in Canmore, stay there instead.
