Awesome place in the heart of isla mujeres! The room is very comfortable and very clean. The location is perfect! We just had to walk 5 min to the beach (Norte) - one of my favorite beaches ! It's beautiful. Heidy (the receptionist) was very helpful! She gave us good tips to discover the island. We rented a golf car and had a blast! Suites los arcos is an excellent value for price! I highly recommend it !
First time staying here, its a no frills place, but we don't need frills, just a great location is all and this place has it... I would definately stay there again, its across the street from my favorite bar!!!
Biggest selling point was the location: right on Avenue Hidalgo, where many restaurants, bars and shops are clustered. Rooms come with balconies; be sure to request a room "al frente" if you enjoy people-watching (I was in room #6). This may not be ideal if you want to sleep before midnight, given the loud music and crowds. A lot of shops and restaurants close up by 12 a.m. Another selling point: mini-fridge and coffee maker in the room. There's free wifi, air conditioning and cable TV. The hot water tap did not work in my bathroom sink but the shower had strong water pressure (think pressure washer!) and good temperature control. The reservation ended up costing me about $196 CDN for two nights. The woman at the front desk said she'd prefer that I paid in cash to avoid debit/credit processing fees. Other than some kind of brown stain I found on one of the pillowcases, the room was pretty clean. However, the pilows were really flat; I had to stack two of them to feel comfortable. There is no safety lock box in the room. The deadbolt on the door didn't always work. Finally, there seemed to be no staff present in the afternoon, which a.) made getting help next to impossible during that time of day, and b.) raised questions for me about security. The staff spoke only Spanish, so brush up on your language skills or use a translator if you are not proficient!
I was very happy w/ the location. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked very well. We had a humid week on the Island. There was a good amount of shelves for folded clothes. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't hang anything up as they had no hangers in the closet. And they wanted to clean the rooms way too early in the morning. I was starting to feel rushed so I just told them no housekeeping on several days and just got some extra towels and toilet paper. The staff was friendly even with the communication gap. It's not fancy but so close to the beach (Ixchel location) and all the fun the Hidalgo street. My balcony was not overlooking Hidalgo so night noise (besides kitty cats and doggies) was not an issue.
This small hotel worked well for us as we were able to spend two full days on Isla Mujeres before returning to our hotel in Cancun. It was basically a place to clean up, sleep and leave our belongings while we explored the island. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the airconditioning worked. We accidentally left some items behind in the room safe and these items were kept for us until we returned to pick them up two days later.
I've stayed on this island 4 other times. We wanted to stay downtown for 3 nights before our next destination in MX. It was great. Whole downtown is always easily accessible but it was nice to be off the beach on a balcony over looking the main street. Great for people watching and night life. We love this island and would stay here again. Basic but great value.
Rooms are clean, bigger than expected, and the location is perfect. We had a room that did not face hidalgo st, and had no issue with noise. Air conditioning and wifi works perfectly. Staff is extremely friendly. We can't wait to stay here again
This place is right in the middle of everything! I didn't think I could get this location and quality of service for the price. Everything was nice and clean with all the essentials included. Highly recommended!
For the price we pay the rooms are outstanding, they're big, cozy clean and pretty. It close to everything you'd like it to be such as bars restaurants, the beach and a supermarket. It even has a kitchenette where we keep fruits and snacks. We were shown the penthouse which isn't rented to all clients just those recurrent or those who ask for it. It is a one bedroom apartment at the top with capacity for 6 people. It has an spectacular view. We couldn't stay there this time but looking forward to next year. My only complain would be the wifi that doesnt not work so good its intermitente Id say
This was a simple hotel, with basic amenities, but the location was outstanding. Our room had two double beds, a small kitchenette (we didn't use it, except the fridge for keeping bottled water cool). and a bathroom with a shower. We had real difficulty getting the shower to a good temperature, but once we did, it was great. We were told that there was Wifi in the reception (which was a thin corridor with chairs along the wall), but it was too weak to even post to Facebook, without even thinking of uploading photos. Although the room was really basic, it didn't matter because we only used it as a place to sleep and a base for coming and going from. We were right in the heart of the shops, stalls and restaurants and the street lead right down to Playa Norte, the most stunning beach. We loved our time on Isla, and the location of this hotel added to it.
