Hotel is near everything, which is nice. Across the street from the beach, not on beach. Rooms are bare. Nothing but towels, a bed, some soap, and old pillows. It seemed like beds were clean. Toilet leaked, ripped shower curtain, dirty floors. I believe I was in the old building, as they have a newer one as well. Nice pool. Cute little restaurant, randomly not open, same with the bar. Staff was friendly and helpful but there was obviously only so much that could be done. The "great" price I paid, was not worth it. Will not stay here again.

Rooms had a lot of mold, Ended up grading to another room, for $100 more Talked to others sounds like they put everyone in that room knowing they will not stay in it and upgrade.Receptionist not very freindly .No elevator and nobody around to help carry bags up we were on the 3rd floor. Won't stay here again.

From the moment we walked in, we were disappointed. The information on their website was incorrect. We asked about this and they said no, we asked about that, they said no. Everything that was included had a fee attached to it. Which is fine, but they should tell you that. They say towels are included BUT you have to pay $20 per towel. A safe is included, BUT you have to pay $100. They said complimentary chairs were available on the beach across the street, BUT they were not. When we asked about things, they just said no and brushed us off. The room was full of black mold. I was sick every morning, but by noon felt good, only to do the same thing the next day and the next. The pool was great.

Lots of mold in shower and sewer. My friend got sick from sewer gas. No water 2 days out of nine. Some rude staff.

TV didn't work at first, when we inquired, the desk manager said we needed to leave more tips. There was something up with the shower, it seemed like water was coming up after it was turned off. Reported that also. No deadbolt on the door, the frame around the inside of the door was go.e. you could see outside or in. The pigeon poop was all over the patio, and it had been there quite a while. When we were at the pool, it started raining so we went to the restaurant. We finally got a menu, but never got waited on, even though people who came in after us were waited on.when we tried to flag someone down,it was like they ignored us. All in All, it was one of the shabbiest hotels I've stayed in!

In my opinion the entire north wing of this hotel could be improved most by demolition and starting over from scratch. The floor tiles and concrete cracked, chipped and broken; the bathroom windows don't open or close.

No ssfe in room. No refigerator in room. No coffee

The bartenders Tony and Romi are fantastic The location is perfect The food is amazing

Close to everything nice people outside the hotel very good food close to the hotel and activities

The room was musty smelling , curtains had mold. Fridge was worthless. Had to put a 100 dollar deposit to use safe. Ask the front desk man several times to have our water checked could barely stand to shower due to no hot water FINALLY on our 6th day they came and "fixed" it then ONLY had hot water. Got locked out of room one day due to door swelling

rude check in clerk demanded cash below avg room - needs updating could be cleaner bar closes too early restaurant was open no one used it....wonder why

We have stayed a Posada del Mar four times throughout the past 4 years. The location is amazing, close to the beach in the heart of Isla. The rooms are basic and clean(ish). The pool is great, and Romy's bar is wonderful. The staff is unhelpful and treats you as an annoyance. Wifi very rarely works and when it does, is only available in lobby. There are MUCH better options on the island for the same price.

Bathroom had a leaky shower and the water dripped 24/7. No safe in the room. Bed comfort was ok, room clean. Staff were great. Great pool and pool bar. Patio was great. Had a great time.

Not a bad buffet place to stay. Beds weren't too comfortable, hot water pretty scarce, and sometimes no water for a bit. The rooms were nice and clean. I would recommend it for a good price.

The location is very convenient and close to the beach. The bar on site makes excellent drinks and has happy hour from 5-7 each night. The pool area is small, but nice! Most of our time was spent by the ocean rather than the pool. We stayed in the renovated section and would definitely recommend that.

Common areas are nice. Nice pool. Great convenient location. Rooms could use some updating.

Love this hotel...been coming for many years. Staff makes you feel at home. Breakfasts overlooking the beach at Penguinas restaurant are great. Rooms are basic but clean and fine...but you really can't beat the location location location. Quick walk into town, to the ferry, to the great restaurants and just across the street from the beach.

My wife went to the hotel bar alone for a drink. 3 hours later she was under the influence of alcohol and possibly something else. I observed her being grouped by the bartenders. The night was horrible.

Hotel was as expected at price point. Across street from a great beach and within a short walk of ferry, Playa Norte, shopping, and restaurants. As of this review, the beds in "old" rooms were hard, but the view was perfect. Newer rooms are nicer with softer beds, but have an inferior view. I would definitely recommend at this hotel at a good price.
