Great customer service, beautiful space. No wifi for 3 days. No poolside service. The restaurant Jimmy's, downstairs, was a hub for screaming loud bro culture everynight. Jimmy's wouldn't let us take our food to the room or the pool. Great location. Beautiful room, they upgraded us. Thank you Mount View!

The property was beautiful, the pool and hot tub area looked like it was out of a magazine and had great landscaping! It’s a smaller property, which I like very much! The housekeeping staff said good morning everyday we saw them as we were going out to the wineries. There was a complimentary wine tasting going on when we arrived and the sampling was generous. We ate at Johnny’s once, it’s obviously a local hangout and probably the most hopping place in town. The food was good, but the service was just so-so. We did only have appetizers and a sandwich, both were good. There was one gentleman at the front desk that was great and we assumed he was the manager. He always greeted us and asked if we needed help. Most of the rest of the staff kept their heads down as we passed and most the time didn’t make eye contact. Our room was clean and comfortable! We didn’t like the down topper and covers because we got hot at night no matter how cold the room was, but I feel that’s a personal preference. There was a mini fridge and the room had great lighting and the bathroom was a great size! The bathroom products smelled amazing!!!! Overall, I felt it was the best possible place we could have picked in wine country!

I liked the staff -- great people in the women's spa, notably Nora. I wish that the outdoors facilities were covered / sheltered. It poured rain while we were there and with no cover / outdoor heaters those amenities were unusable.

We enjoyed everything about Mount View especially the pool area and spa

Cute small rooms very clean and a great spa experience!

This hotel needs a complete renovation. The rooms are old, dirty, and smelly. It’s also extremely noisy, there is no sound insulation in the rooms.

Great location and close to many restaurants to easily walk to. Very comfortable & clean rooms

Great location in the town. Walking distance to restaurants and brewery.

Very nice hotel to stay. Enjoyed the continental breakfast to get my day started. The Spa and the pool makes it enjoyable. The water pressure in the shower was slow.

Very nice Hotel. Great pool and area. The staff was super nice. You will enjoy this Hotel.

Great location. Great staff, especially Matthew. Would gladly stay there again.

This hotel is quite nice. I am only reducing one category because there is no elevator which might be an issue for someone with mobility issues or a lot of luggage (though the hotel staff is more than happy to assist). Very relaxing to hang out by the pool. Very charming. It was wonderful to be able to walk to different things in town.

We came for a 2-night weekend stay for a wedding in St Helena. We had a couple mud bath and facials and walked around the town. Our room was very comfortable. We would stay here again.

Our shower did not work, however staff was EXTREMELY accommodating and let us use the Spa shower and comped us for the room. They were extremely apologetic. The value of what something is, is not always viewed by how much it was or if it worked correctly, but rather by how the staff/business handles that particular situation. In this case, I don't fault the hotel for something the last guest did not tell them about, but I do place emphasis on how they handled it and I think they handled it professionally well.

We booked the cottages with private outdoor mineral tub, and that was the best part of our stay. But the hotel is located in the middle of downtown where there are lots of cars, so it can be a little loud for light sleepers like me. It would've been better if the hotel was a little more secluded. Johnny's bar restaurant was also a must visit if you are in the area, great food and great host. And 6 large tv's for all sport fans. On our last night stay of our 2 night trip, we were out of electricity and hot water due to the fires in Napa. I hope this little town and hotel will be ok because i don't mind coming back.

Highly disappointed. Totally overrated. Way overpriced. The only good thing was the convenient location. I'm a very positive person and was really trying to like this place. But the pool area was in need of maintenance. Our room was dusty. The blinds didn't work. The grout in the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. And the decorative objects in the room were from a 99 cent store. We were also misled into thinking we had purchased a 'breakfast included' package however that simply meant we were given a $20 voucher per day towards breakfast at Johnny's downstairs. Breakfast there is easily $20 per person. Additionally, there is hardly any onsite parking. Stay elsewhere.

Location is PERFECT; located in the center of everything in downtown Calistoga. Mineral pools are open 24 hours for guests!!!!!!!!!!!! Vintage building and fixtures are charming.

We got a good rate via Orbitz but the queen rooms are on the first floor and VERY old - it feels haunted to be honest. The bathroom is tiny old tiles old shower bath combo. The walls are dark plum so it's very dark and not welcoming. They don't offer any wine hour which most B and Bs or hotels do.

The hotel all in all wasn't so bad, but not what we expected for 400+ per night. Upon arrival into Calistoga we were not impressed. The night prior we stayed in Yountville which blew us away, Top notch restaurants, tasting rooms and just a better overall vibe. Callistoga, not so much. Luckily we were able to cancel our reservation (thank you Orbitz & the staff at Mt. View) and we drove back down to Yountville and booked back where we stayed the night before. Nothing negative to say about Mt View, but just not "our cup of tea".
