Nice furnishings. Helpful staff. Restaurant handy--CONNECTED to hotel so we didn't need to go outside in raiNY weather

It was fine the front desk was very busy and seemed under staffed.

Clean and quite rooms. Close to southern airport terminal.

well maintained hotel close to airport and service is friendly

I booked this hotel because of low price ($100); it was excellent for the price.

it's close to airport, but the hotel is dirty, not very nice stay

It was an awesome stay! We arrived late and the staff was still very accommodating! Rooms were super clean, the pool and hot tub was open late which was great!

I like the location for my biz trips. The restaurant is great. The rooms are comfy and amenities allowed me to complete work tasks efficiently. Great, friendly staff.

A lot further from the airport than advertised. Took shuttle 35 minutes to arrive to pick us up at the airport. Then it was a 17 minute ride to the hotel. Be warned the shuttle from the hotel only runs on the hour. Other than that the hotel was acceptable

We used this hotel as a stopover before a flight. The hotel was advertised as being 5 minutes from the airport, but was about 15 minutes. We surprised that the hotel shuttle charged $5 person. We ate breakfast at the dining room and chose the simplest items, but the bill was $26 plus 15%. The Holiday Inn Express nest door would be a better choice.

We arrived after almost 12 hours of flying. The staff were friendly and our room was ready. Moxies is attached so getting a bite to eat was easy. Would definitely use this hotel again when flying out or into Calgary.

Beware the shuttle if you are short on time. Because of a road closure/new runway put in, all the airport hotels are located 20 min+ from the airport. If you call for the hotel shuttle, that means it's a 40 min round trip. Probably better off taking a cab. We were there one night for business. The room was clean and the staff was really friendly. The restaurant attached to the hotel had good food and service.

Because of new airport development, the Sandman is no longer 5 minutes from the airport --now 15-20 minutes -- but it's still one of the closest. The room was comfortable & quiet. I especially appeciate that the TV is in a cabinet, which minimizes noise-seepage from adjoining rooms. The restaurant -- the only eaterie around -- is competent, although the music is too loud & makes conversation difficult. Interestingly, the shuttle from the airport is free, but the shuttle back to the airport is $5(CAD) per person.

I arrive a little late and they will be really nice and helpful with the issue and made the check in as normal.thanks

Easy to find. Nice room. Staff very helpful. Only shortcoming was that there was usually only one person at the front desk, and the hotel was packed because of Stampede. Mass transit train is only about a half mile away, and also very easy to find.

We needed the restroom (wash room in Canada) after driving for a long distance. Enforce checking in. They don't have one near the front desk! They directed us down a long hall to the restaurant which had poor signage so we didn't find that quickly also. When my wife went into the washroom, she went down a hall and another woman was coming from the other direction. They each moved in the same way to get out of each others way. Suddenly she realized that the other woman was a reflection from a mirror. A woman standing there laughed and said "I'm so glad you did that. I did the same and thought that I was losing it!"

Stay was fine, but nothing exceptional. if you're looking for a place to stay near the airport, it fits the bill.

We had a late arrival so just checked in, went to bed and got up early to catch another flight. The bed was comfortable, clean and cozy. The decor was tasteful. The hotel is near the airport but takes almost 1/2 hour to get there as there is construction and a main road artery is now permanently closed. We were not informed of that when booking and it would have been helpful to know ahead of time. Also, it is wise to book the hotel shuttle early because it only seats 6. We were bumped because we were the last to reserve seats. We had to take a taxi to make our flight in time for check-in and customs.

We stay at Sandman airport every trip to Calgary. Nice rooms and usually convenient to the airport. Not so now. With the addition of a new runway at the airport and rerouting of some major roads, traffic from Sandman to the airport is a mess. Still a good hotel.
