walking distance to art commons ,shopping and great restaurants and bars

Great place to stay to see all sites in and surrounding calgary. Fantastic food places on 8th ave Get a private tour of banff and lake Louise with Paul owner of lone wolf tours. He can take 4 at a time, never mind the price it is very fair for the sites you will see! Great trip

Great location to take in sights of downtown Calgary.

Great stay in the heart of Calgarys downtown core. Awesome pool and hot tub with a decent gym. Free water at the front desk.

we enjoyed the pool and the scenery, great location

What a joke of a price for a hotel. They should be ashamed and also when I got to my so-called NON-SMOKING room, there was a air purifier in the room. To pay over $600 for a non-smoking room, and have a air purifier to clean the smoke smell and then to have stained carpet, this was disgusting!

Excellent location, comfortable beds, great gym equipment. Pool area would benefit from beach chairs, and the whirlpool wasn't filled properly. The Stillwater Spa jacuzzi was out of order.

It was a great experience. I strongly recommend it

but the breakfast was not included!!!! So,...$ 22 for a breakfast was not the best surprise in the bill. Please, be more clear about that, I really didn't know. The rest was fantastic!

The best location to visit Calgary Downtown. You can walk to all places that you need to say.

Rooms in Calgary can get expensive. this hotel is no exception. Book early to get a better deal.

The customer service at check-in was amazing. Erica did an awesome job in making me feel welcome. I wish I could say the same thing with checking-out but that's a whole different story with another staff member. Overall, the experience at the hotel was great as always.

Excellent location, and a very obliging and helpful workforce. The spa is lovely and I was particularly pleased that they are obliging for smokers, and for an increment, they will let you have a smoking room with an extractor unit. Nice rooms. The internet service they provide could do with a facelift, but overall, as a business traveller, this was more than comfortable.

The Hyatt is perfectly located to hop the light rail to the Stampede. Their restaurant was superb, the wait staff friendly and helpful, the overall experience was THE BEST.

Spectacular Spa! the Hyatt's Restaurant was good and the Catch Restaurant was Exceptional. We came for the Calgary Stampede which was only two stops from the free transit. Also, taxis are always waiting outside. Calgary itself is a beautiful city with fantastic hanging flower baskets lining the streets and a lot of outdoor dining and activities galore:)

extremely nice staff, historic hotel totally modernized. excellent location. parking expensive (in my eyes). would return if in Calgary again.

My wife and I decided to make a stop in Calgary to see the San Jose Sharks play the Calgary Flames before we headed to Banff. If we were going to be in Calgary, we figured we might as well make the best of it and stay at a nicer hotel. The hotel was in a great location. A 2 minute walk south will take you to the Calgary Tower and Centre Street (bars, shopping, etc.). A 2 minute walk north sends you to Calgary's public transit. Public transit wasn't really necessary since we were able to walk anywhere (even the hockey arena is a 10-15 minute walk). The hotel itself was a typical Hyatt Regency; clean room/facility, friendly staff, nice amenities. The only observation we made that kept the hotel from receiving 5 stars was the housekeeping. The room was clean, but the cleaning staff arrived at odd hours. Our first day they didn't arrive until very late in the afternoon (almost evening), no problem. On our final day they walked in at 7am while we were just getting out of bed. Overall, I would stay here again if I found myself in Calgary.

I chose this hotel mainly due to the location, and it was a perfect fit. The C-train picked me up and took me where I needed to go. The room and hotel were very nice and clean. The biggest issue I had with my stay there was, I was charged 25.00 dollars per day to park in the parking garage under the hotel. I was also charged another twenty something dollars to use their wireles internet. The room was also very expensive. Staying here is definetly splurging.

Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff, the room was terrific, very spacious and comfortable. We spent the afternoon at the fitness center/pool,then it was back to the romm to get ready for a night out. There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance ( and shopping of course )so need need to take the car out. Have fun!

This a good, although expensive, hotel for business trips to Calgary. Staff is very attentive and friendly.
