From the hotel shuttle driver to the front desk attendant both on check in and out I congratulate Hyatt for their careful selection of staff. Everyone at the hotel including the housekeeping people were friendly, well-spoken, efficient at what they do and welcoming to this weary traveller. The property is well maintained and I even witnessed a maintenance staff employee carefully and skillfully repairing some damage near the door to the backside of the building. Locations such as these are seldom used by guests except to unload should they park near a back door. Despite its low priority location it was repaired very nicely. The reason for my rating being 4/5 is due to the window in my room ad the heating system's limitations. The max temperature the thermostat allowed me to call for was 25C but located on the inside of the room away from the bed and window where the temperature fluctuated between 18-20 degrees. My preferred room temperature is 21 but the room was never able to get above 21. Although calling for heat, the draft from the window prevented the heating unit from warming the room sufficiently. The draft kept me uncomfortably cold and it resulted in a very poor night of sleep. Now the outside temp was -20 and windows do have drafts but perhaps something can be done to mitigate that. I mentioned this upon check out and it was noted. I hope the next visit to Calgary Hyatt Place will be warmer

Clean and spacious room, convenient location, very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had and the breakfast staff were extra friendly and helpful. The free shuttle to the airport was easy to book and use as well.
