This was my second time staying at the property. The staff is amazing at customer service and truly helps make your stay comfortable. However, the in-room amenities were inconsistent. We booked three rooms, and none of them had enough towels for all guests; one room was missing a “Do Not Disturb” sign, and another did not have a blow dryer. I believe it’s the little things like this that make all the difference. Overall, the property offers beautiful views and plenty of pools to enjoy during your stay. The only negative experience was with the sales team at check-in, who were very persistent about trying to get us to attend a presentation on their vacation homes. One sales representative even told me that I had been scammed when booking an excursion outside of the property and claimed that if I attended their presentation, they would refund what I paid and provide another excursion for free. This was not true, and I did not want to waste my time sitting through a presentation. The interaction left a bad taste and negatively impacted my overall impression of the property.

Our balcony had a nice view, thankfully. Our room wasn’t the problem, except for the large spiders in the couch. We waited 3 hours to get sheets/blankets for the pull out couch, until almost 2:00 am…we were told we could not be served at the 24 hour Bistro because they were too busy, even though half of the tables were empty. Our original room was given away. This resort oversold their property and then they were not at all prepared to take care of all of the visitors. It was upsetting.

Our stay was very disappointing overall. The property is so spread out that you can’t easily walk from one place to another, and you’re forced to rely on golf carts, which were constantly backed up with long lines and long waits. The hotel was extremely crowded, making everything feel hectic rather than relaxing. Room service was very poor—we had to call multiple times just to get a simple request handled. To make matters worse, our building had no hot water for two days, and instead of fixing the issue promptly, we were eventually moved to another room, which was a major inconvenience. This experience fell far below expectations and made our stay unnecessarily stressful.

There was no water in the shower for the first 2 days of our stay out of 5. They could have tried to make it up by offering some free spa treatment or a coupon for a future visit. But the hotel didn’t try to make it up to us at all

This resort has promise but was very disappointing. Not a 4.5 or 5* resort. We had issues with our assigned rooms - dark, dirty, no towels, no soap, smelled damp /moldy. Sand was found in the bed. We complained and we were moved to a suite which was much much better but still not 4*. Beds are hard and pillows uncomfortable. Location is beautiful, but resort is spread out and you need to take the cart service everywhere. Not convenient for families with children or elderly. Pools are pleasant but food service is slow and they run out of towels quickly. Food is average - buffet and pool food is fair but not a great selection and if you have a food allergy you will need to check everything. Japanese restaurant was however excellent and the best meal we had there. This resort is definitely dated. There are better options out there - have stayed at the RIU and Barcelo and they were better. The staff here are however excellent - happy, friendly, kind and helpful. They made the vacation a very pleasant stay despite the quality of the resort.

Our stay at Pueblo Bonito was extremely disappointing from the moment we checked in. We were harassed repeatedly at check-in and throughout our stay to book excursions and spa treatments. It felt aggressive and uncomfortable, not relaxing or welcoming at all. The room was absolutely unacceptable. It smelled strongly like sewage, was visibly dirty, and had bugs smeared all over the walls. There were black, curly hairs all over the room, including on surfaces that clearly had not been cleaned properly. To make matters worse, we had to call five separate times for extra pillows, and they didn’t arrive until two days later. The pools were completely overcrowded every single day, making it nearly impossible to enjoy them. Getting a drink was a challenge due to the crowds, and when we finally did, the drinks were so bad they were essentially inedible. Overall, this was one of the worst resort experiences we’ve ever had. Poor cleanliness, constant sales pressure, overcrowding, and terrible food and drinks made this trip anything but enjoyable. We would absolutely not recommend Pueblo Bonito to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

We have been going to PB for the last 8 years and have loved it every time. This trip was pretty disappointing. Upon arrival and check in we were put in bldg 20 and at that time there was no hot water. The hotel knew of the problem and made no mention upon checking in. I found this disturbing, particularly since we are VIP status and in general it was discourteous. It was especially bad because we didn’t know until coming back from the gym and needed a hot shower. We were told it was to be fixed that night and next am it wasn’t. We were relocated to building 18 which was nice until the hot water went out there on our last day and right after we returned from the spa and needed to wash the oil and lotion off. The service levels have always been amazing at PB locations. This time those who were working f were terrific but it was clear that there has been a significant reduction in staff and given the hotel was pretty full, the service was not as it has been. Tables in restaurants were filled with dirty plates in the bistro and carts of dirty plates and serviceware sat next to the tables where they were seating people. It was not appetizing to say the least. I’m not a complainer and usually don’t say anything. On more than a few occasions I overheard other guests commenting on the same things re service levels. This stay bothered me so much and was disappointing for our family. I think it’s likely it is our last stay at any Pueblo Bonito properties.
